    OMG thank you! I thought I was the only one! The only track I think deserves the hype is Maia and its the only one I bother to listen to :)

    What about Alcyone?! One of the greatest psytrance tracks eva!

     

    But also agree that the overall album isn't that great. I had it sold it because it was not that special :/

    I guess, both of you misspelled Electra.

    Young German people seem to listen goa trance

    From my experiences, since I am from a really big "Goa"-Area and someone who got into the music in Israel (thank God), I can tell that people here refer to all the styles that came from Goa Trance like Psy, Prog, Dark etc. When they talk about Goa. In the north-east (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) and east (Brandenburg), you find alot of styles, since These areas are empty forests and valleys (also 80% of festivals are held over there), but in the rest of Germany, Prog, Dark and now HiTech are the dominating styles. My experience is also that alot of people, who listen to HiTech and Prog in Germany also tend to listen to Techno, Techhouse and other electronic genres, while Goa and Psy listeners usually don't listen to other electronic music that much, but more to instrumental music of all styles.

    I actually love both, AP - Mahadeva and Hallucinogen - LSD, but Mahadeva will always have a place in my heart, because for me it is the definite sound of Israel! Every note just gives me flashbacks and makes me smile.

     

    Here some albums, that I don't like.

     

    Lunar Dawn - Kolovrat

     

    For me it doesn't sound enjoyable.

     

    Etnica - Live in Athens

     

    Feels like something in all the songs.

     

    Goasia - Amphibians of the Spacedock

     

    Sounds very generic, (for me) it is a weird nitzho-ish Goa sound.

     

    Morphic Resonance - The city of moons

     

    The songs are actually okay to good, but the production kills everything.

    However, I don't really get the ranking. I mena, if more than one release share the same rank, then the next one should still be in a correct order i.e. after 8 comes 9 and not 14 etc.

    Just thought that it would look better this way. :)

    There was alot of great stuff for fans of the golden era, but this year will be the year for newcomers and other young artists. Looking forward to Imba and Agnetivax. :)

     

    And the reason, why my Downtempo list is so short is because I just discovered it recently for me and I am more into Psybient and didn't discover alot of good stuff for me. Maybe this year there will be some great releases.
