Trolsk I think they were keen to put samples up but am sure the finished product will have proper mastering.

I want to do live acid again which is why I'm doubling in some gear. 1 for studio & 1 for live shows. I had a mate who last night was doing a mad live modular set & some bloke spilled a full pint of Guinness over his gear!!
Luckily he insured his gear for live performance & repairs/replacement will cost him at most $500 for $3K of damaged gear!!
-
They were always pretty minimal early on. Only 7 tracks? Hoping for a few epic belters. They've done some nice ambient recently as well.
-
It's not th price really, I want the profit to the charity.

acidlab is affordable compared to retro Roland gear. Especially here in Australia. And the Pledger x0xb0x's are costing more than Acidlab but it's worth it. I haven't done live or production in studio for nearly a decade when I sold off my old gear from the 90's. I'm actually doing a course in production which is helping me focus on competing and finishing music, usually I just make sounds instead.
I used to do the London acid sound live with a mate. All original Roland gear. A cheap mixer, 2x303's (one modded Devil Fish style), 1x909 & 1x808 & a sampler. Fx were just some cheap guitar pedals for fuzz n' delay that we had & a microphone that was always open to crowd to use . It was noisy, loud & 100% original. There was a time when all the mixer went bust and the only channel working was the 909 halfway through a 3 hour set but we managed to keep it going just programming the 909. I produced jungle & gabba at home but it was very basic, mostly for fun. When I wanted to propose to my girl I sold all the gear for and engagement ring and a house deposit!

So there's still no info on a repress despite the cheapest resell going for $80AUD not inc. postage?? I mean I'll buy at least a few copies...

is the left hand image of the lion supposed to look like it's from Voltron??

For me it's mainly because ice always preferred sequenced sounds to keyboards, and there is some crazy good stuff in modular that far outweighs vst or off the shelf complete synths. The Harvestman for example really fulfills my desire for industrial type music, Make Noise for me makes some wonderful experimental sounds & my Intellijel system will easily fulfill my techno/retro desires. Acid house is what I grew up on & Acidlab's non-modular gear is affordable and quality. While the Bassline3 will be great, I also have two x0xb0x's from Andy Pledger on the way at some point as well. One for studio and one for live use with my Roland TR-8.
I also have a bunch of pedals I wanna get, and a customs made 8 string guitar as well. I love the very early sounds of the commercial industrial work like Pretty Hate Machine etc. and I'm trying to catch that feel. Ms-20 mini & the Arp Odyssey from Korg will be the only keyboards I get until Arturia do a polybrute!!
-
curious to know why The Harvestman isn't more popular? Currently my tiny setup has the Poston Honda MKII & it's simply amazing. Wild crazy sounds. Anyway will post pics when all 9u are filled. Mostly Make Noise & Harvestman but planning another 6u of Intellijel. Waiting for my Drumatix & Bassline3 from Acidlabs to arrive first, and am tempted to blow out the budget on the Miami drum machine as well.

Strange, it should do - when I tap a post on my iPod several options appear beneath it, including Edit.
yeah it's weird. I also cannot purchase on psyshop with despite them telling me it should work fine Thanks for all the replies

TIP tshirts were great. i had heaps back in the 90's, as well as loads of Rhino stuff. Sadly my wife did not approve so they were all sold for a premium years back. currently it's just some Space Tribe stuff I never bothered selling but I do like the look of the new quasi denim jackets from Space Tribe. Also Global Sect gear looks nice but now that the Aussie dollar is dying it's to expensive.

nice cover but I kinda see it's like some dude or dudette licking out a vag..a? Maybe it's just me...
-
stuff like Prana, Elysium, Sandman, Tim Schuldt, Shaolin Wooden Men etc. for melodic Sita Records is all I really need.
Stuff I really don't like? MWNN. Cannot stand any of his tunes.

I can honestly say Dimension 5 is the only artist I've never ever got. It's not that I don't like them, I just find their music uninspired. I mean it's nowhere near as bad as say Neelix or Alien vs The Cat type rubbish but yeah anyway.
There was plenty of crazy Aussiecstuff like Dhailin Woi

I guess it's just the way I am. Probably explains why my nose is so crooked. I used to always get punched when I went to raves, pubs, clubs or gigs. When some one says something i take as an insult i don't hold back. Give as good as i get if not try for better Peace man, you've been added to my ignore list so live long and prosper.
oh and by the way http://www.discogs.com/artist/596645-NDM kicks Boris Blenns ass IMO.

but they aren;t evern remotley the same. But I guess you know seeing as I've got the opiniong of people who actually have worked in these fields and they agree with me they must be wrong as well. Only you are right, right? stop being a petulant child. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/petulant
You are like this with every opinion you have on every topic on this forum for the last however long you have haunted this place. You need too be smacked on the bum and sent to the time out corner for a while mate.

I showed this topic to two people I know, one of them being an architect, the other one being an interior designer. I don't have to mention that this topic (specifically the "it's the same" part) provided them with some good laughs.
PS. the whole thing reminded me of one of the best episodes from "The Sopranos":
perfect.

the most expensive part for me was getting a case, for what you got they all seemed a rip off. Luckily there's a local guy here who makes flatpacked ones. You just need to glue the together and screw in the rails. Total cost for a 9u 84hp was $120. Am considering a second one just in case.'how much fun would 18u be?
