Phi's album was one of the best of 2004 so this should be interesting... and those samples are crazy!

David Hasselhoff - I've been looking for freedom

I have very sensitive hearing and I just checked the monitor level on my djm mixer...
It was set to ~8%
Out on parties I've seen djs playing with a djm mixer set to 75%
For beatmatching I prefer using one cup playing the cued track and the other ear listening to the monitors..
At first I also played both tracks in cup... maybe it's a thing you grow to like, mixing with one cup? Or maybe I was too sensitive about two full-blown goa tracks playing at the same time

YES! They released Riot Fuel, a sick sick track. Best thing since GNOTR

Pretty good year, but a terrible start...
Personally I'm looking forward to these:
Various - Positive Alchemists Vol. 1
First release of Khetzal's new label (7 Nov)
Elysium - Dance For The Celestial Beings
A re-issue appearing some time this fall on Avatar, includes a bonus CD with unreleased killargs
Radical Distortion vs. Mendark - Purple Energy
RD with one track on Apsara, not very impressive but this should be interesting..
Various - Fluorotronik
When!!?
Various - Pure Planet 2
Will it be released this year?
And in the beginning of 2006 we got some pretty interesting releases:
* Astral Projection - Open Society (Beg. 2006)
* Filteria - Heliopolis (Beg. 2006)
* MFG - Message From God (Beg. 2006)

I don't agree.. pop-trance is reserved for DJ Sammy and the likes, I would simply say full-on or full-on trance.. but I'm of course a bit sceptic about including the word "trance" in any of this but whatever..

AAhh, madness.. sweet stuff! Do you mind if I play these tracks out?
-
Posford and Talpa should sound really sick

I went to a lot of discos when I was around 12, and all that was played was 'euro techno'
E-type, 2 Unlimited, and that sort of stuff
All the silly lyrics started to annoy the hell out of me but overall I liked the 'sounds'... kick, melodies, etc.
When I was maybe 13-14 I started listening more to regular trance stuff, techno and other EDM stuff (Prodigy!).
My friend (who was into rave, hardcore and goa) introduced me to goa.. and the first song I heard was probably "Hyperion - Sunflower".
The mp3-era started and I digged deeper into goa trance and other EDM. And also a bit of classical music.
Now I'm still addicted to the old-school sound and I've realized I was born 5 years too late

Thanks
My host seems to be down at the moment so I've put it up on my own web server..

great news!
So new Filteria in jan 2006?
And with a remix of Lunar Civilizations, very interesting !
-
yeah I remember those
They put up some pretty insane goa tracks, many of which were very good! I believe they even accepted CD requests, they burn it and send it, you pay a small fee..
But that was like yeeears ago. Seems like they're gone now

Sweden is forever linked with and will always be mistaken for Germany (or Switzerland at best)
Just listen to how swedes are portraid in movies, the sound like germans!! They don't speak our very special swenglish
EDIT: But in germany, people actually truly like that song. Here we think it's just so outrageous and hilarous, which makes it a classic
