  1. I always do my mixes somewhat like a movie. That is to say they should be fast parts, slow parts, intense parts, relaxed parts, some surprising changes of direction, some expected stuff, some surprising stuff....etc.

While I like action movies, I wouldn't want to watch a 90 minute non-stop fight scene that goes from beginning to end, which is basically what I think a lot of DJ's tend to do with their DJ sets. I think a good set should have some ebb and flow to it, jump throw a few different styles, switch up bpms, etc. I'm big into the idea of "journeys" and just about everything I do in music from making tracks to doing DJ sets to choosing tracks and track order for a compilation revolves around trying to make some sort of journey.

Pretty much what I would say if I made my own mixes. But it's still what I'd want to hear in a mix. However a gigantic climax at the end I prefer, rather than dropping. So I'd say Erratic with with a big finalé.

  2. hehe, recognizable, i try to achieve this altered state every party, indeed real trancedance :)

though i do need some quality psychedelic and energy drifted music for that, but like spoiled i am for a belgian that's not something that hard to search for...

and it's as awesome -or even better- to reach this state completetely (or quit :P ) sober...

Considering you have more parties to attend to than you can handle, I'm guessing it comes naturally for you. But I've never really been to a psy party. Only parties where they might play an infected mushroom song or two.

  3. Getting kind of sick of people claiming I asked for "special moves" or shit like that. I only wanted to know how to dance in general, I've never been to a psy/goa rave party. What am I supposed to do if not ask.. The first post about just closing my eyes and feeling the music pretty much convinced me, you guys don't have to treat me like I dumbass.
