Hmm those are hardly defining elements of the goa sound
EVERY type of house/dance music uses 4/4 beat and hats on the upbeats and bass on the upbeats...not to mention the exceptions of those in goa...
I think the most important elements are the harmonic ones.
The most basic I think is a the root and its flat second...the whole phyrigian sound.

Has anyone tried mixing mp3s? Just to make your own little comps to burn to a cd or something? I thought this would be fun but its not working out quite how I'd hoped!!! Perhaps someone can help me with it a little? I'm using BPM studio (without the hardware stuff, maybe that's key...I dunno). If you could ICQ me: 16860362. Or post some info here!

Anyone know of some good Drum n bass/jungle stuff? I really like that sort of beat but don't know where to start.
I really like the song called dual element (i think thats it) by tsuyoshi suzuki but I also like more conventional dnb stuff as well.

Anyone hear into triphop at all? I've just recently discovered it and I really like a lot of it...particularly lamb, lovage, thievery corporation, amongst others. Anyway chill-out lovers I think should like this stuff? Anyone have any further recommendations for me for those of you more into than I?
