  1. you should check out shiva and maybe vertigo. shiva is on the lighter, trancier side, but still pure goa. and iirc also by far their most popular track. maybe they'd qualify for the one-hit-wonder thread ;)

i forgot those two, i have heard them aswell :)

  2. Amazing eclectic lounge music. Not sure what to call it. Its just excellent chill-outish music.

I believe discogs says it is called: Dub, Triphop, Downtempo and I would kinda agree to that aswell :)

Its kinda hard to find their music fitted on a few albums, becuase their best work is spread out as remixes and co-production across a myriad of albums. They have no "best of" or similar as I am aware of. Their original tracks are also spread out alot as they have no solo album as far as i know.

I have everything they ever did on my HDD, so if you want I can put together a list of their best tracks (cus they are not all good) and type all the albums that contain them so you can check them out or download them or whatever it is that you do.

if you feel like going illegal there are ways of getting the entire collection, and im sure if you do such things, you know how to get ahold of it.

a good place to start is the album entitled The K&D Sessions which contains alot of very good stuff.

  3. well yeah. all up and including fat of the land is incredible stuff..

my favorite on fat of the land is Narayan. But tbh they all have something special.

Experience is not my favorite album to put it nicely, even though it has some magical stuff too.

One Love is also a masterful track

  4. music for the jilted generation was one of the absolute first albums I bought as a kid.

Still remains one of the better albums out there!

Favorite track is obviously Voodoo People but there are no bad tracks here.

Claustrophobic Sting is an amazing acid-techno track that really dont fit on the album, but Im glad they put it there anyway. Its amazing.

Break & Enter is also the top of the tier.

    The rest are great too.

    What are your prodigy favorites?

  5. true for dancing galaxy, low quality instruments and sounds, but a nice recovery in the mastering was done, this is a very unique sound created and even adds up more to the sci-fi atmo

Dancing Galaxy is a perfect track, 10/10 I love everytihng about it. :) Still my absolute favorite Astral track, and I wouldnt want it to sound any other way. I would not want it re-mixed and remastered :D

  6. Im talking about tracks just appearing on VAs and not on the artists LPs.

    Such as for example,

Pleiadians - Zeta Reticuli (lazy spiral remix) (Flying Rhino - First Flight - 1996)

    Hallucinogen - Magik (TiP - Beyond Colour - 1998)

Such tracks can be amazing, but also overlooked! Not everyone is aware of all the great VAs so lets give some of your best stray tracks and where they can be found!

  7.

Yeah I agree. It's one of the tracks that originally got me into psytrance, but it's really one of his worst tracks. I also prefer The Lone Deranger to Twisted, which I know a lot of people disagree with.

Agree the lone Deranger is far beyond twisted. But that's not cause it is better they are equally good just comes down to what style of Hallucinogen you prefer as they are very different.

Lone Deranger is the easy choice for me.

  8. Love the topic I love discussing goa in an audiophile setting :)

I have so many choices. Many of the tracks I love is for the quality alone.

Hallucinogen - the lone deranger LP

    Astral - Amen LP

    Mwnn - interstate highway LP

sun project - sex drugs acid trance II

    Noosphere - carpe noctem

    Atmos - drums don't stop

    Bpc - antidote (pleiadians remix)

And many many more list would be about an A4 in the 12 px font :)

  9.

If someone doesn't share your taste just let it be, 7 billions people in the world can't share the same taste as you, it doesn't mean they are not fan of music, admit it you wish the whole planet could share your love for Radio Space without vocals but it's just not possible, just deal with it :D

but the point was not that he didnt like it, but he just refused to even listen to it. that was the point. had nothing to do about taste IMO.

    just clarifying.

  10. That's the problem with text as your only medium of communication. Text doesn't sound like anything, you lose the tone of voice. And no, this isn't literature.

Oh well. Time to get this derailed thread back on topic, right?

You dont lose the tone of voice. Your own mind adds it.

That is why it is important to write what you mean exactly, so not to be misinterpreted by the readers. Litterature or forum posts, its the same principle.

    yep, lets end here

  11. This was meant as "don't bother going through the trouble of digging up the track from somewhere and uploading it as I probably won't be interested anyway". Then radi starts calling me a "not a goa trance fan" out of nowhere, just because I'm not interested in hearing a track from an artist whose personal output apart from his remixes I'm not that fond of. That makes me a "not a MWNN fan" at most, but to label me as a non-fan of an entire genre (that, yes really, did save my life back in the days) based on this is fucking ridiculous. Of course I get pissed off at this nonsense, especially coming from radi who likes to stir things up anyway he can.

Still dont think it was at all necessary to start swaring, and yelling. Why did you get so offended because he said you were not a goatrance fan? Your "nah dont bother. Not interested" also sounded extremely arrogant. oh well. im done with this argument now :)

I disagree, everyone has the right to want to listen to tracks on their own time.

    sure they do.
