  1. we will be makeing music with 15 bass lines, 38 leads, 12 pads, 17 diffrent 4/4 beat combinAtions, 6 climaxes, everything will be in .ogg format, average 80 minute song will be 5kb

by this time music will be able to open wormholes, and where you end up all determines how leet the track is

your average synth with have a polyphony of 48000, and 1000^1000000 voices, with 2048 programable [in c++++] oscililators, 15 LFO's, 200 new filter types, and an ADSR modulator with a new knob called 'P' for 'pwnage', it makes all shitty track genuinly pwn, [can be automated]

track will be leet becasue they go from shitty2leet©®, becasue of this effect, people will liek music more, becasue they expeirnse the shity2leet©® effect in REAL TIME

also, revewrb and chorus and delay will be obsolete, becasue there will be a synth for each thing [for instance, if you ahve a sound delay 5 times, there will be 5 synths in a layer, makeing the sound]

lets see, oh yeah, songs will also change genra mid-track, what started as house, ends up as dark-gothic-progressive-psytrance

all panning knobs will have many ways [no more lelft/right], you can pan left right up down in out insideout, outsidein, over under, infront and behind

    mgtriggergate will still be leet

everyone will use fruityloops 20 brain-studio edition XXXXL [with WASP XXXL 8.0]

    [/endrant] :P

  2. I have begun work on my next track, its a spacy/acid type track, , i was wondering though, as i have not heard much psy, if someone could tell me, of any good tracks out there, that somewhat sound like my own stuff [strange question i might add!]

I like my music, and want to know if there are others with a similar style

also, as to the topic, i am asking if there is anyone who uses yahoo messenger or msn messenger, who would like to befreind me, and help give opinions on all my work, every song i make has MANY versions, so many to name, and i like to get opinions on them from people i know [without posting the track to half the world], most of the people i already have are Trance Addicts, and not 'too' into my music it seems.

If anyone would like to become freinds with me and be a general information/opinion exchanger, i would greatly appreciate it, just PM me or post in thixs thread if ya want, thanks!

Also, i posted this in the music makeing section, to attract those that actually make music, and who, ie. know what they are talking about.

  3. oh my god

well, turns out, i no logner have the project files for my Goa India track [the track sat on my computer a logn while after it was done], and the only mp3 i have is in 92kbit

so, is there a way i can fix this? or am i just SOOL [shit out of luck]?

[edit] don't scratch me off just yet, i found my experimental version, which was the last known save, i'll fix it, upload it to YSI, let you hear it, if you like, i'll make a 256kb version for you

[edit2] damn, i doubt if i can make it exactly like the one you heard *cries*, when is the next time you will be accepting track? When the one i am working on [the new one] is done, could i possiably submit that one for evaluation and possiable acceptance?

  4. doesn't seem right imho, vsti's, don't need to load stuff and acess it later, unless you have 100 thousand presets, then it would load the presets into memory, but the actual turning information into sounds, has nothing to do with random access memory, sence your not saveing anything

like a game for instance, , in a shooter, the only thing that uses RAM is the level and textures that are loaded, the engine itself doesn't use any of the RAM

or better yet, calculator, uses no ram what so ever, and does pretty much the exact same thing a VSTi instrument does, only the VSTi turns it into sound, where the sound is then processed and outputed, not saved, when you turn the synth off, then back on, and play, the sound is recreated and processed, and sent to output again, not saved for later [u8nless you specify such as by saveing it to wav, and then, your saveing to HD, not ram, now if you open sampler, and load the wav, then the wav is loaded into RAM, so it can be accessed when ever the program needs it]

[lol, i imagen everyone is SO used to useing .wav files, that they actually haven't ever tried makeing somethign without]

i use NO WAV files what so ever [and when i do, its only percussion instaments, which are fucking tiny], i have 256mb RAM, and i can run atleast 10 instances of z3ta all playing at once + FX..without a single bump in the sound

  5. i currently have a track with 18 channels, of nothign but sytrus, vanguard, and z3ta, plus some other little stuff, i have 256Mb ram, not a single bit of clutter

my soundcard is a measly onbord chip, i even have a celeron processor...

the only downside i know of it, it takes about 30 seconds to process before the song starts

i doubt ram would help any, but it all depnds on what you want, i think the only reason they are sayign RAM, is becasue they believe you want to export all the chennls as wav and work from thier, but from what i understand, that is not what you wanted to do

    my specs btw:

  6. when you play a wav file in fruity, fruity loads the entier file into ram, thus if your playing with hundreds of wav files, you need more RAM..however, a synth, [like vanguard for instance] all the sound that comes from this , coems from vanguard, into fruity, through thr processor and out the speakers, there is nothing it needs to load, the sound is processed in real time you see?

ram is for loading stuff, and then accessing it later [such as loading a wav file in fruity]

with a wav, the sound is already made and saved, you just have to load it, but with a synth, your actually MAKING the sound from scratch, which is 100% processor power

i personally don't use any wav files, exept for a few tiny precussion instraments

  7. Are you really referring to a step sequencer, or do you mean the Piano Roll in Fruity? If Piano Roll, then Live, Cubase, etc all have that. You can see notes being played in each of them on their Piano Roll, just like Fruity. Cubase has the step sequencer mode as well.

    573998[/snapback]

i don't want to sound like a n00b, but uh, i was playing with the reason and ableton demo for a long time and never seen any such thing..how do i find it?

when you click a synth, you go to piano roll, and a sideways roll appears where you input notes, etc...this is what i am looking for, when it comes to final production, i don't like useing my keyboard becasue the times aren't exact
