The problem with Psynews.org and almost every other (once) succesful music forum is that everything has been discussed to death. I know several other forums that have suffered the same fate. Once you've uncovered the entire genre all you've got left is news and maybe some critical analysis. Most people here doesn't seem to be interested in either. So yeah... There's really not much you can do about it.
pretty much this till another subgenre comes along which spawns both lovers and haters alike. psynews has been more about GOA than other subgenres so there is anyway not much scope for discussion because of the limited no of releases unless there is a topic about darkspy every 3 months or so

Death is just another stage of life.
like to believe so myself but where is the proof ? I keep feeling this human condition is the test before we move on to higher form of life without any form of suffering etc but there is nothing yet to substantiate that feeling. the mere thought is just pure speculation IMHO.

I have had the same problem, since I was a child. The doctors told me this is not dyslexia but Information Processing Disorder. In my case, I also don't watch movies because I don't grasp any information. People usually have to repeat several times for me to grasp the information. Otherwise, it's just a vague mixture of nonsense words. Like listening to or reading an unknown foreign language. To read a page in a magazine, it can take as much as half an hour, because of reading every sentence over and over again till I get the idea. At one point, I get worked up and give up.
I was ok as a child, developed this condition only recently. I've noticed that while im reading slightly complicated sentences i have to make a trade off between reading the words in the exact order that they appear and getting the meaning right in the first shot. I could grasp the meaning by skimming through the sentence but since i have developed this condtion i have become a little obsessed with trying to convince myself about getting the order right which reduces the ability to get the meaning as it were.
I wonder if this is standard operating procedure for everyone or typical for dyslexics.

Good music no doubt but he tends to get obsessed with one sample from Karunesh - Punjab (that woman singing ) in his album and im pretty sure ive heard this sample being beaten to death by overuse by so many other artist like this one effect vibrasphere used in one of their albums and everybody started copying it . does any one know which one im talking about ?

4.07/5 is way way underrted for this album , it definitely deserves a 5/5 given it was released in 2004. again lots people might call it boring full on with a boring bassline but ive been really having a blast listening to this in the car lately.

that falls under dark-psy genre too.. but if I hear such a track on the floor my dance-mode is activated immediately, while on the track above nothing happens *g*
Not to play a tit for tat and without getting into technical details just to make a point this track doesn't do it all for me and i could call it noise ( cant stand the highcosmos use of random effects that ruins everything) but if played at the right time in a party with the right setting it can be awesome . whats music to ones ears is noise to another especially in the case of darkpsy. some can enjoy psycore and to some its double dutch . there can be no debate really about what qualifies as better darkpsy.

To be honest.. i can understand why find he finds the track boring. It's basically an ongoing bassline with pretty boring drums/percs, some FX shots and a couple of FM sounds modulated with a filter. You need to be into that kind of sound already to like it IHMO.. I know there are a lot of ppl that hear the details on the atmospheres, find modulated filters on FM synths interesting, like the fx or whatever, but you need to like that kind of sound before already - can hardly imagine that goa, fullon or prog freaks will start listening darkpsy after listening to this track.
It's not to downgrade this track.. quality is ok and I'm sure it was quite a lot of work to make such a track, but if you "don't understand" dark-psy this is just plain modulated noise with a bassline.. lost interest after first 32 bars already.
If you compare that to uplifting dark/night psy at about same bpm it is quite a difference, there usually all the fullon guys join you immediately while with the track above they aren't. Misses some structure and definition inside the sound, as known from "normal" sound, and if this is missing, it sounds like plain randomness or chaos to most ppl... until they strart to listen to a lot of dark-psy and start to "understand the sound"
Well the youtube quality is bad and doesnt do the track justice . I heard it outdoors and the vibe on the dancefloor was killer. Its possible the DJ was adding some of his own effects which made the experience even better. If you want to dissect tracks then any darkpsy is /can be noise . Like you said you need to be into that sound to appreciate it.

Sorry for the morbid topic but i sure would like to hear what you guys feel about death.
I for sure am worried about it if not scared but im really curious about whether consciousness continues to exist outside the physical body and what the afterlife is like and where it takes me.
The thing that bothers / worries me the most is losing loved ones due to their death before mine and the pain incase of unnatural death.

Its possible you dont like darkpsy at all and are not open minded about it ? Maybe Rotwang or Ormion can post better tracks .

Mildly addicted. For example if im doing some important work , i'll suddenly get this brainwave to check something . and since its just a mouse click away ill check it anyway and would probably spend more time reading than i should. If information was not available this way it wouldnt be such a distraction and an addiction. Its a temptation that one just cant resist. which is why ive completely gone off facebook and slowly weaning off forums as well, this has freed up a lot of time that can be put to good use . for some reason i cant get rid of psynews!
Regarding reading i know what you mean, i tend to get distracted because the laptop is on playing music while im reading and something or the other crosses my mind which makes me put down my book and go online. not good !!

I have mild dyslexia. When im reading i tend to jumble up words. Not while talking or writing though. Its extremely annoying because i know exactly when ive read wrong. It drives me crazy because i like reading and sometimes i have to repeat the sentence just to make sense of it again. And from what ive read there is no known cure for dyslexics . I would hate to live with this condition for the rest of my life.

Used to dig it big time.. not so much now. too fast too furious. But give me some dark wtih less bpm and im totally up for it. for eg Hypo Geo anything more than 146 bpm is just too noisy now. If its too fast then im too old already maybe ?

derango can teleport you to another dimension for me personally one dj by the name of Audiobrains , french guy , totally rocked the scene way back in 2003 at a far away farm house away from the city. he unleashed some unreleased bombs in his sunrise set, believe you me I havent seen people dancing like that including myself , ever .. oh the good ol days.

Had a freaking blast this SS @ DI.fm. Goasia was my favourite , followed by avery runner and then K-BAN . Still havent managed to complete the set though since i missed yours , the stereo in my car doesnt have the resume from where stopped function , unfortunately. Bummer!

its like a switch that needs to flip to enjoy minimal if you didn't like it previously, i was never a fan of sensient , and yeah something clicked like you said. those monster sounds in galaxian are eerie and dark as fuck! great atmospheres !! really enjoying this release now .
