their kickdrum is monstrously wide and very warm, it wouldn't surprise me if it came from an analogue synth or drummachine, but which one? no idea
also has a big compressor on it for sure, and maybe even a reverb when i come to think of it!
basically you make kicks out of a sine wave and pitch manipulations, so if you have enough tuning options, you can get this effect if you compare enough with the etnica kick and search long enough for the right tuning, a good vst capable of doing this is microtonic, although you can make kicks with almost any vst around these days, its a matter of options available such as lfo, pitch, pitch modulation, and many types of sawforms and possible combinations to go from
with sytrus vst you can almost create any sound possible!

too funny replies againi've seen my friend's cat cuddle up against the speaker when we were producing music at insane volume, and my cat seems to like it too when i'm playing psytrance sometimes outside with the laptop, they definitely relate to the rhythms and bassvibes, some like it, some don't.

in most of my tracks i got about 5 leads going on in the full parts and ending climaxes, which is an absolute bitch to mix

i got wav recordings coming from original DAT material (shadow dance & rotating fields), and i've seen that the compression and overall volume level isn't too much (at least in shadow dance) so adding extra dynamics and compression should be possible, i'll use the remaster on mind rewind as pointer for my mastering versionFrozen Dream, I'd be curious to hear, is it a remix you made or a remaster of their originals edits? Did you work on true audio material or on the mp3 that were floating around.

you should write a trashy novel about your party life, sounds like a bunch of rich & funny comparisons! i would read it!The point is that real oldschool goa trance from the 90s has a dirty and grimy undertone. it sounds like dirty bong water, like drinking canned beer in the morning, like smoking pot in public transit and not giving a shit about other passengers, like getting a blowjob while sitting drunk at the beach. "Neogoa" might be nice trance music, but it doesn't sound like all this. it rather sounds like non smoking flights, clean hotel rooms, diet coke and sex with condoms. that's why many people including me don't like it at all.

maybe i should upload some samples to souncloud of my own remasters of shadow dance and rotating fields i'm playing in my sets for quite a while now. since they are all getting released and taken up in the mainstream i guess it won't hurt too much.
