  1. Greetings,

    So, after reading over a few posts, I get the feeling that a lot of people on the boards are using softsynths.. and a few using hardware.  Here is what my studio setup has;

    Wavestation, EA1, X5Dr

    Juno 106 & 2

    TR 909 and 808, TB 303

    EMU Vintage Keys

    Waldorf Pulse

and a load of outboard gear...

What do you all use, and what is your fav one thing you tend to go to?

    Cheers!

what music do you make with such equipment? you have any tracks i could listen to?

    thx

  2. here is what i posted some time ago, how to do with vanguard:

two osc, one osc detuned, two responding lfo, lfo two heavily detuned

(-74 or more), play with freq speed, it depends on your osc.

low attack, decay more then 500ms, sustain and release at 12 o clock,

then play with cutoff until you reach what you want.

main part is the 2nd lfo that is that is turning your 2nd osc into hellacopter

*edit* hmm then play with filters, perhaps select high 6db filter, full reso, play with cutoff and lower decay, that should work

i think vanguard is easier then albino and costs lower cpu, but both give a nice sound, so you can try

  3. its not that easy, that you can reverse everything.

listen to a cymbal, a sounds that build itselves up can be reversed, they are good to connect parts of your track, its a standart in psy, you hear that very often.

the handy tricks are: go to http://www.kvraudio.com/ and i forgot the name of the other source, lol, and download all vanguard banks.

there are patches included that are named "laser" or wtf, often with marked with FX.

listen to them and try to understand how the sound is beeing created by the synth, i mean you just have to read, what waves etc.

than create your own, then automate them and record them, i do this for each of my tracks, record new, i record them to wave cause so i dont have to deal with preset changes, cause im using ableton.

try to reverse a cymbal first, then try adding some effects

  4. sry man i never used logic, but i guess its working similar.

if not you try to program via midi Implementation chart of your synth, it comes with your synths or you can google it.

dont you have the manual? you can try to find the manual using google, i guess you have a good chance.

perhaps some logic user here can help you, just wait

edit: i mean not a button like in ableton, but perhaps a menu where you can assign.

    but i dunno

  5. its now years ago i used fruity, but its possible to make good psy.

of course you need good instruments like cybernetica said.

but a trance beat and a psy bassline is no problem with the instruments included.

for drums try the 909 template, and then add samples from the library you want.

for bassline try ts404 bassline synth with a 303 preset and your allright.

and also is included simsynth and sytrus, both are ok to use for leads.

    its all you need.

best thing about fruity is that there are so many tutorials.

    try http://djbb.dk/floops/index.php?cat=tutorials

scroll down there are more tutorial links

  6. Hallo,

i want some choirs for my tracks, but no vsts cause they suck and i dont wanna spend 500 bucks on a sample cd, i want some real good choir in style of this:

    link: http://rapidshare.de/files/23425376/spectr...voices.mp3.html

i already spend hours of listening to old church singings and concerts of classical music, but there was nothing interesting.

the problem is i dont no where to start my search, so anyone know some artists that would be useful to search for?

from classical music or what ever.

any help would really be appreciated

    thx in advance

  7. hi,

yesterday i was listening to opagiffa night from the mushrooms and i thought i want to make such a baseline, but obviously i failed.

i dunno, i just could not create one similar.

and now im doubting how such baseline is made?

16th, 32th? is there a gate? now im sitting 6 hours in front of my pc and my ears fall on the ground.

i know there are thousands of bassline threads, and i read them all  ,

    perhaps somebody could help me.

if possibly post a screenshot of your pianoroll.

i only need to see it one time.

    thx in advance
