relax, they are in a category called "reference" headphones. Manufacturers call it that way, reviewers call it that way and it refers to the specific application they are made for. Hell it says "reference headphones" on the cans themselves. I did not make this up so I don't know where your "YOU vs us" bitching is coming from. I did not claim they are the only reference headphones in the world, nor did I claim they are the absolute best. It's true most reviewers, listeners and audiophiles alike will qualify them as one of the best commercially worldwide produced headphones. That is a fact and if you don't believe me do some research for yourself.
if AKG and reviews call them reference is completely irrelevent to me. Sennheiser HD600 has also been a reference headphone and I didn't think it was all that special. I'm just saying it's all a matter of taste, regardless of price or if the product has an aura of exclusiveness.
-
well they are open headphones that don't try to overwhelm your ear with sound.
Instead they try to reproduce it accurately. That's why it's called a "reference" headphone".
I'd rather increase my bass on the equalizer if I need more of it then have headphones with
already "coulored" sound.
and who calls it a reference headphone? if you think they are the best headphones then it's a reference for YOU, but maybe not for us other.

this is my headphone system: Beyerdynamic DT880 connected to a Meier-Audio Corda Arietta headphone amplifier, which is normally fed by a cd-player, but in rare occasion also radio, computer and turntable. the black amp on the picture (Rega Ear) is sold.

Hold your horses! You'll have to wait until 18th of May.
At least that's what the distributor says:

Logic Bomb - Sonic Algebra! Purchased from Tower Records in Tokyo!
"Released: Coming soon"
meh, I feel like a 12 year old at christmas, checking psyshop every 20 min :clapping:
-
listening to both Lamat album, first Master Control, now Fearless.
-
the same goes for psy trance though. it's in the mind of the beholder what is psychedelic, not an objective matter. so, what you have a neurotic breakdown to, and what I a neurotic breakdown to could be very different music...
personally I think really fast violin players can be fucking mind blowing :drama:
-
sorry, this sounds really lame. nothing compared to Lime Structure.

I picked up This album on April 23, the day that it was released in Japan. And I just got back from a festival last night where Logic Bomb did a live set of their new album. The new album and the live set were both phenominal.
hi pandamonium, is this a japanese press of Sonic Algebra? or the regular one Solstice?
(I've been picking up classic rock releases on japanese lables, as they have a higher second hand value, but electronic music in general doesn't seem to re-issued on japanese lables, or am I wrong here?)
-
yes, I'm listening to it, but I don't have the physical release yet
-
I'm just listening to the new album and it sounds really promising. not as good as Unlimited perhaps, but quality is definitly above the avarage trance release. it sounds slick, well produced, good drive and rhythm. great trance basicly!
as soon as Psyshop has this in stock I'm gonna order it!
