    ??

    2010?

that's my top for 2010, not the top 10 tracks from 2010. i personally do top 10s very rarely since it really takes a lot of time to create such a list. my apologies if the question is only for 2010 releases, if its up to that, i wouldn't even make it to a top 5.

  2. Hi,

I agree in some ways here with the sentiments of The Elysium Project.

I agree neither whole-heartedly nor half-heartedly but somewhere in between.

    Thank-you very much for listening.

    Jon

yup, i agree with elysium, but yet i agree with the reactions to the first post, i just hate when people think they are extremely important and post sh!t like that, that top 10 just makes me vomit right now.

    anyhow, i got a 2010er as well...

    Ra - Time Current

    Dimension 5 - Omega Centaurus

Aerosis - Lunar Effect (New Moon Mix)

    Artha - Controlled (Live Version)

    Crossing Mind - Terminal Fantasy

    Daimon - Codex

    Artifact303 - Consequences

Man With No Name - Teleport

    Artha - Mystic Change

    Ra - Predator

  3. i cant say that i dont love it, this style of music is rarely made and it does not really have much of attention since the ignorance towards traditional/ethnic/tribal/oriental music is really increasing, but i must say that the album is quite a lot affected by "distant system", and i am not spreading anti downtempo cheers here, but it just lacks of the magic of Efflorescence :(

something worth putting on a dj set, but not on a top 10er

  4. i usually hit for the dub side of ambient, downtempo just doesnt do it for me, too depressive.

but this is different, this defines what was hyping lately as a new tag (well, not really new), Goa Ambient.

keep it rhythmic, keep it melodic, keep it acidic :)

  5. Maybe his new album Let's Dance?

what should i say, i have monitored every ocelot release since dream selector, never found something similar, there are many times where i contacted the artists to ask if he's gonna release something similar.

the "Morning Melodic Fusion Trance" chapter, from track 1 to 8 will remain unique i guess. i rarely like majorly an album, only track 9 and 11 kill it for me here, where as in lets dance, i didnt like anything and the styles are too different for me, perhaps the finnish rhythm and the so called "funk" in psytrance killed a lot of melodic genres inside psytrance.

melodies dont do it for me if rhythm is not part of the package. after all, it's personal taste :(.

  6. his access to the listener is a lesson for all you artists there, he takes the time to label his music with a story, AUTHENTIC creator, someone who wants to identify the music with something specific, and nothing can be more specific then what actually inspires you. i would love to know if everything comes from the author itself?

anyway, as much as i adore this artist, i am more a fan of his dnb side rather then the psychedelic one, though i must say he's something NEW into the whole music since 2005's releases.

any hint of the music style?

  7. it's out, and i love it.

bad news for the people who think this might be some sort of promotion to legalize DMT, well it does that somehow, but in a different way. also, do not expect something like The Beyond Within, it's not about the effects, its more about the experience but after the trip, they tend to connect it with where the humanity is going, in a way they say that if people did DMT traditionally (u define tradition for urself) then the mankind would not suffer from the predictions such as the one of Huxley and 1984. They do make good sense though, but i guess nothing can convince the "average" man to give this subject a deeper research.

what was really funny, is how Strassman actually tricked the authorities to do his research...

worth a watch guys, not really educational since most of us have been researching about this privately, but i would suggest it to everybody. too bad its only 70 minutes

unbeatable, i have them sine 2002 and never ever broke up, from what i have tried so far, nothing reaches the balance of ISOLATION and QUALITY like technics

@PRS, KRK is indeed shit, i here people saying Adam's are really good and if i am not wrong they are on the same price level as KRK/YAMAHA and the rest of the whack stuff.

sorry for off topic but i gotta let this out of my chest, just recently i payed a visit at SAE, and a Mackie set blew me away, making music with an active subwoofer changes everything, i have never felt BASS so real before.

ps, i forgot to add something, i notice loads of people invest on a home theater sound system (5.1, 7.1) which is absolutely perfect for watching a movie on it, but i never understood people listening Stereo music on such crap devices, there is so much gap between low's and middle's and the power between the frequencies is so shit due to automatic normalization built in, how can you people listen music on that crap and back it up? hoooow?

  9. i am not much of a movie guy since movies tend to leave quite a lot of gaps, in one word, i dont like compressed movies where you have to brainstorm your idea about the movie within an hour...

now, This movie has GAPS, it's not the best one but it opens a effing topic about the point of the movie.

just lately, our disabled genius said: Aliens might hate us , and this is exactly where the movie freaked the shit out of me...

back to the movie, the way they included the Sumerians and their language, hypnosis, and an owl who uses its eyes to eff up our mind, and that small freaky town in Alaska, alaska was one of my lifetime checkpoints, and i repeat my self, WAS!!!!

for the people who've seen it, the part where they enter after they open the door, i was never that scared in my life

  10. not exactly a remix but I made this a few years ago:

and did AP remix Insomnia? Thought it was God is a DJ?

your right, it's God is a DJ, insomnia got remixed by some full on artist, ugly track.

ps, what do u mean by u made this, i remember very good in my techno days, when i wanted something a bit more bass driven hard music i switched some Dj Misjah and Dj Tim on, very good music. i didnt see any remix tag on the link :S.

ps, Deep Purple - Child in Time is quite a good piece that could be remixed, it has some good modifiable patterns :).

  11. i've been asking this a lot in my life, there are loads of good music production world wide, even high-commercial level shit, no matter how much we hate it where it appeared or who has listened to it, there are tunes out there that couldve made a huge promotion for psychedelic trance in general.

it doesnt have to be commercial, people and artists in the psychedelic world of music usually have a rich background of music...and seriously, only shit has been remixed, like the requiem for a dream from GMS, not to mention some michael jackson and britney spears shit, thats plain ugly.

i myself have a background in electronic music from a very young age, and just lately i was reopening my archive to see what might bring my nostalgia alive (great feeling)

for example, this great tune deserved a very fine and detailed remix (i hope im wrong here, would love to hear a remix)

Underworld - Rez (live edition, the synths are better :))

or here something from my favorite artist during my techno days (it's a remix, just to let u know what an artist can do from a different area)

The Egyptian Empire - The Horn Track

just days ago, i've discovered a remixed of Faithless - Insomnia, from Astral Projection, i expected such an euphoria on the track that it nearly made me throw away their good albums

come on ladies, spread some tunes THAT DESERVE E REMIX, A PSYCHEDELIC REMIX :)

  12. fellas, unfortunately i am not promoting myself, i wish i was...i would like to share something that survived the dust of the basement for quite a good time.

my two dear friends, Uki & Breto, which u might know as Dhamsuta, went through a long journey in gettin what they are today, and a part of it is a masterpiece of progressive psytrance (with its full meaning) dj set that they cooked for a special local electronic music promotion agency.

there has been a huge demand for the set to be re-uploaded since it did not survive from the previous hosting services, though i was lucky enough to find it somewhere on my archive, and with their permission, it's on the place where it should belong.

the style is from the peak of melodic progressive music (2002-2005), and in case if someone is missing this sort of style, then dont hesitate and get it asap

this is no low bpm bullsh!t that we're getting misinformed from the current progressive labels, the tracks inside are pure progressive, pure trance, pure psychedelic, no minimal sh!t thats hanging around on peoples head at the moment (and they dare to call that sh!t more psychedelic then the whole global psy scene)

anyway, enough of my anger, the last thing that i wanna promise though is the smoothness of the mixes, i can easily say you will be impressed from the mixing technique:).

    Tracklist:

    01. Aerolink – Pleasure Addicted

    02. Fusi and Johnson – Funny Fresh

    03. Xibalba – Killing Feel (Symphonix remix)

    04. Ace Ventura – Cardiac Arrest

    05. Ski Fi – Red Sun

    06. Chakra – Opacity

    07. Varoman – Kickin and Drummin

    08. Dj Tab vs. Super8 – First Aid (P. O’Neil remix)

    09. Sub6 – 7th Son Feat. Michele Adamson (Ticon remix)

    10. Son Kite – On Air (Lemon 8 remix)

    11. Atmos – Transmission In Vain

    download Sheepish

  13. i am the last person to reply on this topic since i dont belong to this sort of style at all, personally i did not like any sort of conversion for progypsy to progressive at all (like Vibrasphere, Tegma, etc, their old albums are just incomparable)

BUT, i like when progressive house gets a slight touch of the psychedelic spices, maybe its pure coincidence...i remember listening to slater's all in beauty set and the first two tracks killed me...
