  1. But yeah, we have plenty of artists and i know some underground ones. Some guys from north of Serbia work for few years now, completly analog stuff but production quaility is not high. On other hand tracks are pure old school... and i hope they will improve soon and release something :)

We have enough artists to fill some festival line up for couple of days :D and lots will be playing in Croatia in June as Shpongled247 said before! I am just not sure would there attend lots of people but one is sure: this will be biggest PURE goa event in history of balkan goa scene!

I noticed there are many new people addicted to goa in last 2-3 years here in Serbia. I directed many of them in goa way and many to come in future. People become more respectful to goa even if they don't understand and know how to dance to it... they are so happy to hear it! Goa is like drug for them. I see some comments how they are happy and addicted to sounds, it's so beautiful to hear/see that. Back in 2008 when i started there was only Goasia but they were already moved to Croatia. Hopefuly our party scene could be like Belgium or even Israel in few years. That would be cool!

There is one crazy thing happening in Macedonia :D

GoaHuman + Menkalien (Cosmic Dimension), Sirius, Celestial Intelligence and few more not that known are all in same city, Kumanovo. It's not big city, something like 70k but they have very week goa party scene which is bad. One of finest producers in Goa trance today, all from same place and no parties there. Actually whole Macedonia is week as Serbia, or even weeker.

After all when you check it, Balkan is epicenter of goa artists and almost no scene :(

PS. I think i know some more artists from Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro, if i can remember i will give to Richpa to update the list :)

I see. Bulgaria indeet does not have an impressive goa trance scene at all and only very few people listen to it. <it always depents on the people. When you check out <macedonian radio stations, you will find very diverse music and some electronic music even on commercial radio stations. That means that <macedonia is allready diverse in music, so it is not a big surprise that the goa scene is growing in Macedonia. Macedonia is musically very diverse and advanced and we probably will hear great goa from Madeconia. I will check the artists you mentioned and hope they sound nice. In future we will hear more from Macedonia.

  2. Few months ago there was nitzhonot and goa trance party in Plovdiv ;)

And i think they will make more soon.

I don´t know if that will happen. In Bulgaria the young people don´t listen to goa trance except some Geeks. Most people don´t have a clue what goa or psy is and will certainly not go to such parties. I was there a few months ago and the situation is pretty bad. Bulgarian people are big patriots and listen to their own Pop and Rap music, that is all. But we can´t change the people. Luckily Croatia and Serbia have a bigger goa scene.

  3. The Balkans, especially Croatia and Serbia, really contribute to goa trance. Greece contributes aswell and has many goa trance fans. Bulgaria is not a country that contributes a lot to goa trance and since I am from Bulgaria and stayed there half year a few months ago. I can tell that Bulgaria is not a goa trance country. There are a few goa trance fans but otherwise the music is very unknown and unpopular. You would not hear goa trance or any other kind of psychedelic music in a nightclub or a disco and I find it really a shame.

  4. So I think it is ver yhigh time to have an Etnica/Pleiadians appreciation topic for the year 2014. The last thread about those artists is at least half year old and I think it is time to have a new thread, since we don´t have one for this year and maybe some users dismissed the older Etnica/Pleiadians threads.

Today I listened to the Live in Athens album annd felt the impressive Etnica/Pleiadians energy that is something that not a lot of other tracks have. The power of Etnica and Pleiadians really feels the tracks with a story. The well programmed analog synthpatches with great effects make tracks like Floating Universe, Time Dilation or Alcyion sound very deep and powerful. The tracks also sound much broader than most other goa trance tracks. They remind me of big mountains, bright and satturated colors and hypnotical feelings.

Emotion and melancholia are also keywords for Etnica and Pleiadians. Some tracks are happy, some are wild and others are very melancholic. A really storytelling track by them for example is History. This track has very interesting sounds and percussion. The complex structure and climax are not not as predictable and give the track a floatingg feeling. The melody at the end is very melancholic and deep. It makes you think about your life and great events in the past. It doesn´t make you sad though but motivates you to experience beautiful things. This is the reason why many people voted History to be the best track from Etnica.

The people from Etnica made impressive and timeless music that really is history. So many respectable tracks. If anyone else wants to share something, please do it. I would be glad to remember and praise the good old Etnica and Pleiadians tunes, which are some of the best tracks ever produced.

  5. I agree, they should be introduced to Astral Projection and Hallucinogen and have hope for the new albums in next 10 years

Can´t you think further and see, that if they like Astral and Hallucinogen, they will look for mroe and find out about old-, and newschool goa trance. Eventually some people may listen to all popular oldschool and newschool bands and make the scene grow. Because honestly I doubt that they do listen to real goa trance aktually.

  6. goa = progressive trance for most ppl <20. Especially here in Germany. Electro house (hyped couple of years ago) is almost gone, and has been replace by progressive trance (missed the "psychedelic" intentionally). So almost all young clubing folks know this genre, or better they think they know it - they talk about Tezla and Neelix while you talk about Filteria and Electric Univerese.

    Welcome neighbor..

Were do you live in Germany?

  7. This is a subject that depents on the taste you have. In my world there is not too much good music, there is not even enough good music. This is the reason why I regurarely listen to Astral Projection, Electric Universe, Etnica, Pleiadians, Transwave and all the other oldschool artists. I listen to some ambient and newschool from time to time and when something is good, I will play it again. But even tough a lot of music exists these days, there is not a lot of music out there that can compare with the masterpeaces from Etnica or Pleiadians for example. This is why oldschool is still mostly in the playlist of my media player and will be for the next ten years at least.

  8. You know what's a great way to make friends with new people you've just met? Tell them they listen to the wrong music.

And introduce them to the real thing that they may like more. Anyway it is much more than making friends. if really a big audience in Germany listens to goa trance or what they claim to be goa trance. People could introduce them to the real thing, old and newschool. Therefore they could go to parties by Suntrip so the artists could earn more money and the scene could grow. I am not speaking about a few people only, but many people. I would find it great to see goa trance being liked by many people. For now I don´t know if what those people listen is goa trance or not.

  9. In a sciense documentary they said that time feels slower when people experience many different things, while it feels faster when they are bored and don´t have anything to do, because the days are empty and not filled out. A filled out year full of different experiences therefore seems much longer as a year with boring everyday business.

  10. i suppose you know that "goa" is synonymous with all of psytrance in the german language area? the only real goa most people i met who confess to listening to goa know is hallucinogen and astral.

Well that is goa trance, however they might be listening to something completely different and confuse it for goa trance. That is why it could be good to introduce them to real goa trance.

  11. I am not happy with my life as it is now and altough I am not feeling that bad right now, there were times I felt very bad like the time is being wasted. The most pleasurable things that happen in my life is to talk with people, boys and girls, who have similar interests to mine and appreciate goa trance. For example I really like my cousin who works in England and when I was in Bulgaria and he was at the apartment of my parents, where I stayed for four months, it was always a pleasure. He is one of the people I really like ina dwhen he is around, time doesn´t feel wasted at all. However it does feel wasted when i see people who have negative thoughts and always think about money and that the country is poor and bad. I made the mistake 3 times now that I went to Bulgaria and stayed there and only listened to ignorant and depressive people who always compalined about the politicians and how bad the country is.

Also Bulgarian people, many of them, are not very serious and not real friends, while I am a person who is loyal to people and when I get in touch with someone, I keep contact with him and don´t just let the contact drop. This is one thing that really hurts me, when I get to know people well, and after time they just drop the contact. That is something typical for Bulgarians.

The 5 months I stayed in Bulgaria where not nice at all and I felt very lonely. People seemed ignorant and not friendly. It is very hard to get in touch with new people, when you don´t have friends in Bulgaria in first place. It is difficult in any country but in Bulgaria it is harder. I talked with several girls and one girl liked to talk with me over facebook but when I wanted to meet her, she said no. I did not have interest in her but I just like to meet people in real life and not only interract with them over facebook but she did not want to. It was very dssapointing and she turned out to be a bad girl. The rediclous girl said, "well, get used with it. We are Bulgarians, we are rough people! The same story with other girls aswell.

The high points in this life were just a few, for example that I found out that writting is something I like or that I discovered goa trance. Because of moving from Germany and bulgaria several times in the past and because of other reasons I know only one girl right now. I am happy for every word I can talk with real people right now and regret going to Bulgaria. Altough in future I might think differently.

I always feels bad when you get to know with people who are routhless. In Bulgaria so many people are routhless, I can even name some routhless people by name and describe in detail how they are routhless. It is better to know noone than tou know routhless people like the girl I talked about above or some other girls and guys I know. Usually in Bulgaria the girls are more routhless but many boys are routhless aswell. For example it s very common that even people who pretend to be good friends will only go out with you when you call them but they wil not call. Also it is common for Bulgarian guys, that they listen to what girls have to say and if a girl speaks bad about smoeone, they will fully believe her. It happened personally to me and one guy thinks bad of me because one relative girl has spoken bad about me. Talking behind the bacck of others is also a common thing in Bulgaria and many people are doing this. All such things really hurt me and I am wondering. Can´t we just experience peace and fun, listen to good goa trance, go and enjoy beautiful landscapes, have some nice talk and fun in the pub and experience good times?

Maybe I will start an additional thread and talk about my experiences in the past, especially what happened to me in Bulgaria. I don´t know how it is in other countries, maybe it is worse but when I look at the bad things that people have done to me it is really something that hurt me and makes me give revenge. I do´t know how people can be so routhless, some of the people that I even loved.

  12. I just talked with a German girl I know from earlier and she says she listens techno. Tean I talked about goa trance and whether she knows it and she says yes. I said that is great because the music is very unknown. She said, no it is not, everyone knows it today. Than I showed her some songs from Astral Projectionand asked her to tell me some more names. She said, I can´t tell, I just listen what others listen or something like that. I said to her, show the links I gave you to your friends. Because I highly suspect that they don´t listen real goa trance.

I will keep on that subject slowly and try to introduce her and her friends to real goa trance without force. Because they might listen to strange groups like Haticva, which they think is real goa trance. It is also great because that way I can talk with some people and maybe make some friends, because I have none at the moment, not at the area I am living unfortunately. If I canintroduce some of them to real goa trance and culture, the label suntrip and so on, it would be great. Maybe ona bigger scale people could learn slowly to listen real goa trance so local parties in Germany could take place. We will see how things go!

  13. Artistically this track is impressive, but the mastering is not very good so it is not that much fun to listen to it. If only this track could be remastered with the same mastering technique as Astral Projection, it would be a perfect track. With this mastering however the bass is too strong and the production doesn´t sound that clean. Shame on that, because the track istelf is an absolute masterpeace and has the same brilliant and uplifting sound as Astral Projection.

  14. Oakenfold's essential mix of 1994 is a combination of goa and progressive with pieces from movie soundtracks. It was an influential mix for sure, but if you want to listen to a genuine (as you call it) goa trance mix from Oakenfold, then Oakenfold's "A Voyage into Trance" which came out in 1995, is much better. It has the following tracks:

    Trancemission (with Genetic)

Sly-Ed (with Man With No Name)

    The Rezistor (with Dynamix)

Teleport (with Man With No Name)

    Superbooster (with The Infinity Project)

    Wicked Warp (with Mandra Gora)

    Voyager III (with Prana)

    New Moon (with Ayahusca)

Feeling Weird (with The Infinity Project)

    Wizard (with Slinky Wizard)

    Fat Buddha (with Black Sun)

    LSD (with Hallucinogen)

I find the playlist of the other goa trance mix akually much better. The old Juno Reactor track is the best Juno Reactor track I know, the band is labelled Electrotate for this track though.. All other Juno Reacotr tracks are worse in my opinion, including high energy protons. Also the Man with no name tracks, they are just the best ones Man with no name has produced including with some other tracks. Another real hit on this set, that is definatly unmatched, is Scorpio Rising (3) ‎– Dubcatcher. I don`t know which version plays in the set but the version from the set is also one of the best goa trance tracks because it is extremly euphoric and emotional, aboslutely dreamy and unmatchable. I don´t know if I would consider the tracks as good if I did not hear them together, for sure they all are classics, but maybe combined in a set they have even more power.

It is somehow astonishing how 1994 those tracks sound much better than most other goa tracks and even have good production quality. Scorpio Rising (3) ‎– Dubcatcher is definatly something special and I wish there would be more tracks like that, just as Skin on Skin, Floor-Essence, Evolution, deliverance, extremly emotional - absolutely amazing.

  15. It is in between goa trance and tracks but the MWNN stuff, the Electrotete track, the first track and the Scorpio track are the best tracks I know. I like a lot of goa but somehow Paul Okaenfold picked the best goa trance tracks and put them in the mix.

  16. Ok, we discussed this many times and the lists about geniune goa tracks are big. There are many good goa tracks, which for example would go into the good folder of Mars. There are many great incredible tracks, which would go into the great folder, like for example Astral Projection - People can Fly or Mahadeva, but there is another categorie in my opnion and it would contain only a few tracks. Those tracks are more pure and geniune than any other goa tracks and are really the number one goa hits - timeless goa trance history. Which ones are that for you?

For me, one of those tracks is for sure Grace - Skin on Skin (orange mix). This track has more power than most other goa trance tracks and is really like from another world. I don`t know why there are not many other tracks in this style, because this track is out of this world and goes deeper into the skin than other goa tracks. Listening to this makes me happy and is like being in a hot summer forest and beginning to trip really high.

Another track that is on the same league is man with no name - deliverance. This track is also incredibly emotional and energetic.

I will think about others, but I have to choose them carefully, because otherwise a lot of tracks would go in there and I think Grace - Skin on Skin (Orange Mix) is ahead of most other goa tracks except a few MWNN tracks and probably a few other I will decide later. The track is absolutely insane, but generally the Paul Oakenfold essential mix from 1994 includes the best, what goa trance has to offer.

  17. A nice chilled and groovy track. Some nice trippiness but not keen on the sample as it reminds me of 90's rave and seems out of place in this track. 7/10

Filteria - Float away & disappear

That is a very good ambient track from Filteria and get´s a rating of 7/10. Good quality, good sounds, however the melodies could be more varied.

I don´t know how much success this track has had over the years, but even today I would donate the artist who produced it. It is one of the top goa tracks, for sure as good as Mahadeva or any Top 50 track, maybe even better, this is what goa is all about.

  18. I did not see any hippies in my town til now and I live here for a long time. The town is not very big though. It just has 40 000 citicens.

Yeah, that's what I proposed in your thread about finding friends. I actually can't see how you would meet people with similar interests if you are not more active about it. Just hoping that one day people in your age and with similar interests will start living near you is not much to hang on to. And even if they do, how should you know about or even meet them? If a club is not the right thing for you you could still join a German forum about some of your interests and try to hook up with people from there in real life. Obviously it takes some work so to say but considering you work from home and have (at least as much as I know) not many hobbies that make you interact with people that are not online I fail to see another solution. Depending on your charakter it might take several tries and also failures before you can find real friends, even if you manage to find people with similar interests (this is not a put down of your character, I'm speaking about my own experiences).

I don´t know how it is in Sitzerland, but here in Germany it is uncommon to get in touch with people over the internet. I really must look for that.

  19. I think the big problem si indeet that I don`t know people to go out with, especially girls. And it is very hard to change that fact. I know one girl that I can chat with some time and I am happy abou every line I can talk with her. At least some communication with another person. I also know a computer guy and I used to go there earlier but he doesn´t seem to like my company a lot and I can not go there a lot.

It is really a great thing if I can cojmunicate with other people. I really feel at ease when I can do that, mostly because I can grow a distance between Bulgaria since I did not have great experiences there and don´t like the country a lot. But it is difficult to esablish contact with young people. Ifthere were some young people in the house with similar interests it would be good, but in this house and the near neighboorhood there are no such people.

  20. By the way I have several more tracks I can upload and I have all of the tracks as flp.files. Unfortunately I would have to get all the synths I used at the time in order to edit them. But that way I could master them properly and edit them so they match some standard.
