I guess this is as good a thread as any for some venting. A few years ago I bought all the Schlabbaduerst compilations from Dave. When they arrived, CD 7 had an error - the last 3 track were unreadable (yes, I did try with 3 different drives). Dave promised to send another copy, which I naturally never received (that's not the point of this thread though). Last year I had an issue with my PC's main hard drive and since I hadn't backed up all of my music to an external one, I had to rip a lot of CDs again. Imagine my surprise when at that point only 4 of those Schlabbaduerst compilations ripped without errors. One actually caused my PC to stop responding. So today, since I'm in the middle of putting most of my collection on sale on discogs, I take the first Schlab disc out to see if it rips properly or not and the result is the same - I actually had to put my PC to sleep to make the DVD drive responsive again and get the CD out. I understand that those compilations are CDrs, but wow indeed.

Like a few other psynews users, I plan on selling most of my collection. The reason - I don't have enough time for music - I probably haven't listened to most of the discs I own in a year or longer. Also, my financial situation would suggest that it wouldn't be a half-bad idea.

My collection on discogs - stuff I haven't added to the sales list yet, there are of course some CDs that I will keep, but you can still have a look and ask.

I use Exact Audio Copy. I had two nice guides bookmarked, but sadly the sites do not exist anymore.
I use the version 0.99 prebeta 5. At some point I tried a more recent release, but didn't get used to it.

I'd like to point out that even if you decide to vote in one category only, you should still mention which one before your list - might be obvious for readers, but not for the automatic vote-counting doohickey. That's my understanding, at least.

Through the Afterlife is another wonderful compilation, similar to Conundrum Concoction in style.
Xenoscapes - Atmosflare is also refreshingly different.
I'll also throw Spruce - Mru here, haven't listened to it properly yet, but the initial impression is definitely positive.
Downtempo releases that I enjoy are rare these days - lately everything from Ultimae seems too melancholic for my taste; a lot of what's advertised as downtempo, is actually (in my opinion) progressive trance; and the hippy music is mostly just not for me.

Actually I'm finding more & more Ektoplazm is the best current place to get good current psy music.
I agree. Glad I backed the Indiegogo campaign.

I do wish for some of the really darker side of the old scene like Schuldt, Xenomorph, Cydonia, (later) Psychaos & Sandman to get reissued more than what Anjuna Records are doing.

I know it's probably too early to ask, but can you share any information about your upcoming compilation. Both Procs and Fragletrollet have mentioned they have a track that will be released on Yggdrasil. Since they're among my favorite artists I'm super excited.
