  1. as a jew I find the name and the icons being used on their picture quite offensive.

graveyard photo... so ridicules! and surely not suitable to the trance scene

the foolish symbol combination & REALLY BAD name picking is very ignorant and childish

but really... but give it a rest, OD made a really good point here.

just ignore them and their music and that’s it, stop provoking them!

I don't think it will change anything, certainly wont add us good credit points ;)

I am jewish I dont find that picture offensive lots of my family were put to the gas chambers, an when I see the name Holocaust I dont take offence at all; neither do I take offence to the swastika, because it is a ancient symbol of peaceful, mystical, blessings, it is used in the pagan, Hindu and the Buddhist world, ancient synagogues ect

on top of all the that I listen to Black Metal (when I say that people they think I slaughter goats and worship the devil or a nazi all because they look at the front cover of the albums), true Black metal is nothing todo with worshipping the devil far from it; most new black metal bands like to think it is, and take it to dark places but it is not at all. it is about Pagans,Norse/Viking Mythology, Mystical lands, visioning flying over mountains & forests ect

Sorry digressing, like most people said just ignore the front cover and listen to the music haha. :)

  2. They have wrong with that picture of the David's star, but they don't want to insult anyone with that. They will remove that picture from site. I have listen their music and it's dark trance with horror sound, there is nothing nacistic. And the name is taken from the movie "Cannibal Holocaust", the movie about holocaus of cannibals, not jews or other people, their and my people Serb, also are victims of the holocaust in The Second World War.

Wait a min *penny drop* could I have link to there site, is there any samples of there music? these guys just gave me massive inspiration (I am not taking the piss now honest)

I may be in my dungeon for a bit folks.

  3. So i was browsing Isratrance today and i stumbled upon this interesting image.

Yes, it's a new Dark Psy project, and i wonder what's next really.

It's not even funny yet. It's just plain sad and stupid.

  4. God I can remember finding this song on my HDD I had no idea were it came from at all.

I played it; an I was taken into this world. I can remember hearing these evolving layers and the thumping beat I had no idea what this song was, I kept it on repeat for a good 2 hours listen to every bit of the song an finding new things in it.

I kept turning up the sound on my speakers louder and louder I had this strange feeling in my gut, a feeling where I couldn't sit down my body was humming with energy...I started searching the internet for this song to see if I could find out who played it. But nothing! I couldn't find a single thing.

I didn't even know what style of music it was then I thought it was some kind of new Techno, but still I couldn't find anything that compared it to that song.

A couple of weeks later I was looking for something on Google and I must of clicked on a previous search (which was this song I was trying to find out more on) and this music site came up it had a pretty shabby psychedelic background and menu an it was there!

I was over the moon I looked to see what type of style it was, an it said Goa Trance I was like oh my god I finally found out what it is so I saved the site and left it there; (I always do that, when I find something really good I save it so I can look at it later which 9outof10 I don't') after a few months of hammering the song I forgot about it & the website I saved.

One Evening while looking at some fire poi videos, I downloaded this particular one that had a song with these floating melodies, complex layers again I was taken into space I got the giddy/energy feeling again once the video ended the credits said the song name and searched it up and a found site talking about them after reading it, I noticed it was the same style as the song I first fell in love with. So I searched up Goa Trance & found this website. an started listening to a little bit more, after a month or so I forgot about it again until one drunken night my friend invited me to this party (called cabbage) I went along not knowing where the hell I was or what I was going to, I was paying at the door an I saw these pixie girls running around with smiles on there faces, and in the background I could hear these mind twisting melodies, and a hard thumping beat that was ratter ling the walls I step through the door an into a UV wonderland (something I've have never seen before) people dancing to this beautiful, Mind twisting music surrounded by Big UV butterflies and hanging UV posters I thought I step into another world, another realm I couldn't stand still I ran to the dance floor and started dancing like some mad crazy monkey who just taken a large dosage of speed, I said my friend what kind of music is this and he said PsyTrance my heart stopped! It was like a big penny dropping from the sky with a big sign saying "Its about time you got here", and since that night I've been a Goa/PsyTrance head. I think goa/psytrance found me instead of me finding it lol.

This first song I heard (That I found on my HDD) was:

    Ominus--Tribalistic (Ominus album-1997)

The Other song I found on the Poi Video was:

Astral Projection--Dancing Galaxy (Dancing Galaxy Album-1997)

Those two songs will forever stay with me, because they found me & set me free

    :)

  6. I love Space Buddha, hes new album compared to Stormreaction ect IMO are not as good, dont get me wrong I do love the first 3 tracks on the album (Full circle,Pure energy & Land of the wolves) but It seems toget a little repetitive with the Tempo & beat after a while. it is not that melodic as hes later albums which I used to love, how he built every layer up to the max and let it go crazy; what I also loved in the stormreaction album was the spiritual,shaman/Trible singing and the flutes an drums he put in to the songs I adore stuff like that in psytrance songs/acts (Yagé do it so well..)

I hope he keeps evolving hes music, while keeping those beautiful melodic layers, with the Trible drums & flutes ect

Talking of which can anybody recommend any songs/acts that put stuff like Space Buddha or Yagé do? with the Spiritual,Shaman,Trible/singing, drums & flutes ect?

  7. Do you remember the old psynews page? There was this text about goa (Anoubis wrote it probably?), we should updated and post this at Wikipedia together with Anoubis' chart from the different styles. Is the text still available in the new psynews page?

    I have It Here! ;)

"Twice I went to Goa in 1992 - the first trip I had no idea what was happening. For sure, I loved it but I found it all so strange. This was before Man With No Name, Astral Projection - no Goa Gils no Mark Allens. Things were almost so better, no egos just pure energy. Parties talked about days in advance, rumours, warnings, promises, expectations. Procrastinating and hanging off, getting there and taking off. Think the brightest colours in the world, a haze of blues, purples, yellows, reds, greens, saffrons, oranges. Colours never looked this way before. Think tripping under the stars, recovering whilst strung out in bars. The parties have always been called parties and not raves. Party meaning that everyone has a good time and lots of psychochemikals in the area.

Parties happen on beaches in South Anjuna, Bamboo Forest in South Anjuna and the best of all in Disco Valley in Vagator. For me, the smaller parties were always the best - a couple of hundred fluro painted freaks waiting for the party to happen. People wandering down the deserted beaches carrying speakers with friends, a generator materialising out of the thin midnight air, a strobe appearing simultaneously. Sharing chillums with strangers whilst the set up continues. The first beat of the night kicks in and we all lift off together, journeying our way into the deeper world of trance. The music was very different to today, lots of acid music, and industrial stuff too. No big name DJ's - just completely anonymous freaks playing the most delightful music in the world. Music to make you dance, music to take you out there, music to control your mind.

The sample 'We Weren't Going To Get It Without A Fight' starts and the energy lifts up another level. Between the hours of three and five, the music turns even more acidic, reflecting the general wired ambience. Everyone tripping out on identical waves - Celtic Cross paradise. Things take on another dimension out here in the middle of the night - a fire starts and the strobe plays with our brains, dancing around the fire, all negativity replaced by positive energy. The trip runs deeper in the middle of the night, beats per minute increasing, everyone locked into the world of the unnamed DJ leading us all on this magical journey into infinity. Suddenly there is only us and the music, nothing else. This is it, this is what we are - Everything Is All Right. Bodies responding to every single beat of the music, lost in it, wanting and needing more.

Suddenly the sun is here already. A new dawn begins and the mood changes once more. You look around the dance floor - seeing people for the first time. Radiant smiles, shining eyes, that polished sheen, that knowing smile. Music uplifts now, this is a celebration - everything is so warm; the air, the sand, the sea, the sun. We are marching now together onwards and upwards, the sun reflects the myriad of colours amongst us all. Rubbing fluro paint from the trees and smearing our faces with it. Going for walks and spending some time with precious strangers - meeting and loving, wishing the wishes of a thousand dreams. Two hundred dancing freaks defiantly surrendering their souls to the DJ - things don't get much better out here. Evenings spent in the Shore Bar in South Anjuna, watching the sun come down.

Chillums to the left of me, mushrooms to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you. The sun sets and the music pumps up big time. People spill out onto the beach, dancing and trancing their way forward. Gazing at the majestic horizon - seeing a million things there. Stars start to appear inside and out - join our trip! The tunes get faster, the floor gets busier, sand kicking up. Feel the beat, feel the power, this just gets stronger by every hour. A melody floats in and we all fly off. Motorbikes whiz past in the wet sand, causing confusion momentarily - reality is strange here too. Crazy nights in the Shore Bar - the most hedonistic bar in the world then, the biggest adult-supermarket in the universe. A friend called Cosmic Magick who only sold nice magick and definitely nothing too tragic. Dancing your way across the floor, watching the waves float in a few metres away, BOM BOM BOM pounding in your ears. Spliffs attacking you from every angle, running your way onto the sand. Collapsing under the stars, losing yourself in them, the biggest fireworks display in the eternity of the world. A docile cow stepping its way past you, not batting an eye lid - these humans are strange, the people are good, all smiling and everybody's happy..."

  8. ok another one:

space buddha (i think on storm reaction album): "100% pure uncut bolivian cocaine"

why talk about the most unpsychedelic egoboosting drug of all time?

That is one of my Fav songs on that album, and I totaly agree It pisses me off that bit especially when it is called Acid prophecy, when I mix that I try and cut it out with a strange effect and kick it back in.

I should really do a mix and post it on here ;)

  9. Secondlife? am I missing somthing here? is this a rip of Sims or somthing?

    SORRY WTF; WHAT LOSERS........

Never in a million years would I sit in front of a computer screen and dance away (wait yes I do, but only when I am getting ready togo out to a REAL party or messing around mixing lol) my god so do they have Virtual Festivals aswell? were people put there tent up their bedroom & pretend tobe outside by opening the window?

Aqualung: Cool that you enjoy the K.O.B. stuff :D

I will give him a ring, and ask him about it as I am the one who asked him about getting you to play here in the first place lol, I would of come to meet you myself but I couldnt make it. I am sure we can sort somthing out I will talk to an organizer an ask him about getting you to play in leeds. I am definitely sure he will say yes but before I say anything I need an outline of what you need/costs ect

  12. I have been into Psy since about 1996 and still love it...But.....why is it that i rarely hear any tune twice? Has DJing become so competetive that only the newest of new will be played, god forbid that anyone has played it before!!

I was chatting to someone about dancefloor `politics` and it seems that the trend isnt about those on the dancefloor any more.... :(

I love hearing lots of music in a variety of styles in a club..and i absolutely LOVE hearing familiar tunes..so do many of the folks i hang out with..., yet it seems that the DJs have the say and not those who are paying the money to go to the clubs!

Kulu/Bradford recently did an old school Goa set on the middle floor...the main floor and the chill were empty..Everyone was on the middle floor...doesn`t that say something????

One of the best sets i have heard recently was a young lass at Cabbage who played everything from techno to trance, Acid to Goa and back again....It was so much fun and she had that floor rocking...Oh to hear more of that...!!

    Whinge over.....PJ.xxx

Alice played an amazing set at cabbage! I know what mean thou janet, if I ever get the chance to play at cabbage/Kulu or Fat Moon I will be mixing it up new & old goa/psy trance if not the older stuff (as I find it has more energy to me) ;)

Talking of Cabbage, are you going this weekend? :D
