yeah, after years of not really digging Hallucinogen - Twisted, I gave it another try recently and found it sounded pretty damn good! SMI²LE

don't know about the rest, but given your lineup, you really should call your party "Psychedellic Magnetism" SMI²LE

well, don't forget darker stuff like Prasense or Battle of the Future Buddhas, stuff from Parvati records, and stuff like that. After some analyzing I found that what truly made goatrance an unique style was the fact that this is the ONLY (danceable) music genre I know of which plays with emotions, ranging from dark to happy. IMO it's EXTREMELY important to show this to a newbie... SMI²LE

you should definately change the synth presets for the melody starting around 3:30, it sounds WAY too cheezy... and the bassline starting around 4:00 is like a mid-90s eurodance rip-off... but I'm sure that with a few knob twitches you could make this a very good morning track!! climax around 5:20 is very interesting!! Pleiadians have a quite unique style, they are full-on but can't really be compared with any of the other artists you've mentioned. MFG on the other hand sounds a bit like Astral Projection (some say better, other say worse...). So if you want more of the same, go for MFG, if you want something new, go for Pleiadians. BTW the best Pleiadians album IMO is IFO and the best MFG is New Kind of World. SMI²LE

and let's not forget Miranda who also makes her own music SMI²LE

he he to tell you the truth, I actually prefer Las Ketchup to Chaina!! But I guess you have to be an israeli to like it since the lyrics are in hebrew... Funny, I was expecting to see some israelis react to my post... SMI²LE

well i don't belive there are any hungaians on this forum, but if you click on the "Who we are" button on your left SMI²LE

well, if someone would put a gun at my head and force me to chose, then it's be 1. Deviant Species - Quest for Bajolax 2. Shiva Chandra - Gecko 3. Atmos - Headcleaner 4. MOS - Drive 5. Etnica - Chrome (that counts as minimal, right?) SMI²LE

agree with nick SMI²LE

"Sometimes you do what you want to do, then sometimes you do what you have to do. Many times, snu, you do what you have to do to do what you want to do." man, this is complicated... I'll be waiting for the review , krize, hope he won't start singing like in that pop tune... SMI²LE

"many times I buy a compilation there are only one or two real killers on it " yeah man, I absolutely HATE it when labels do that!!! (and about 90% of them do...) SMI²LE
-
well, you guys haven't heard the track then... I'm sure you'd change your opinion if you did SMI²LE
-
he he yeah but usually people mean Astral Projection by AP... although now it's slowly changing to Alien Project IMO SMI²LE
-
of course it's their own choice, that's why I criticize them SMI²LE

well Gibber, if he's no. 1 in Israel, I doubt he's working for nothing... "What's so bad about making different styles of music anyway?" different styles of music at the same time = not bad (the dude from Technohead was making badass hardcore until he scored big with I Wanna Be a Hippie, but then he continued to make commercial tracks AND badass hardcore!! I see nothing wrong with that...) changing from an underground genre to mainstream cause it brings more money = very very bad!! It's just like rockers who start releasing romantic ballads cause they realize that everyone like that shit... I appreciate artists for their creativeness, when they use a formula to make a track and sell it, then make another track then sell and so on, I don't really consider them as artists anymore, they just become part of a consumer-oriented industry... While this is already bad with usual artists, it's even worse for psy artists cause they're supposed to conitnue the hippie spirit IMO... SMI²LE
-
he he well, we had so many minimal clones in the last 4 - 5 years, why not have a few melodic clones for a year or 2? I don't see anything wrong with that... SMI²LE
-
yeah but if Yahel was making commercial trance, that wouldn't be so bad, but this is pop, I'm talking Britney Spears pop, NOTHING to do with psy, trance, or any other electronic music genre, not even eurodance!! SMI²LE
-
on second thought I think that the trackname was "Chaina" SMI²LE
-
So today morning I take a look at the world charts on MTV and imagine how big my surprise to see that No. 1 in Israel was none other than Yahel!! But it wasn't psy, it was plain pop music. At first I thought that it must be another Yahel, but no, I recognized his grin in the video. So what do you people think? Is it a one-off thing or will he be making pop from now on? BTW I think that the exact name of the track was Yahel & Nimrod Lev - China SMI²LE

oh then it's a good thing that I didn't come up and say hi to that guy cause it wasn't you... Well, hope we'll meet someday at a party SMI²LE
