i live how infected has a totally new sound with each album, yes i even loved the originality of CV, even if it was light and fluffy... but with supervisior... it totally stopped their motion, and was to me, just a bunch of b-side leftovers from CV... in a way, kinda like astrals another world or amen, just the same ol same ol yet subpar boring relating to their previous stuff. now im all for new styles, even if it seems poppy, but IM really screwed up this time and hurt their reputation more than ever with this release... everything on this album should have just been among their other 150 songs that wernt good enough for an album release... but i say, they havent been psychadelically deep for 4 years, and now that theyre in LA trying to hook up with either madonna or hollywood... and the fact they dont do drugs, i predict we will never see anything remotely psychadelic from them again, and i bet theyll be the ones to introduce the whole world to the psy genre, at least to make it known. ive seen other bands do it lately for other underground genres, its like the trend now for previously awesome bands..
light is nice, but deep is sweet!

yeah, from what ive heard, erpland and waterfall cities seem to be the favorites... i think they have 19 full lenght studio albums by now, and like 10 more eps/live/comps or somethin. ive onlt got 3 albums since waterfalls, but i heard theyve been more on the electronic style since the late 90s... wich is cool, even tho they can do it just as good in their older rock style, so, whatever

ive heard SO much about this album for a long time, its praised so much... ive never heard it yet tho, what kinda ambient is it? trippy? dark? scary? light? soothing? spiritual? im barely into ambient, but so far i like steve roach for true spacey ambient, and shpongle for melodic trippy ambient...

firt the ultimate best: and the day turned to night! nothing can top this! also the vocals in shpongle spores, the intro to vapor rumours and the bouncy solo in dmt are fav moments in that album.
i really love the first few minutes of ozric tentacles "oakum" you all gotta hear this!when that guitar slide delayed comes after lots of bubbles... wee!!!
the intro to juno reactors magnetic... this is the best moment ive ever heard for dark creepy ambient
from prog rockers dream theater comes something thats close enough to ambient: "osmosis" on the liquid tension experiment album. this absolutely rules, its got mellow percussion melodies, and atmospheric ebowed guitars. btw, the artwork for this album is my favorite psychadelic cover ever and i also highly reccomend this wild trippy instrumental ultra beautiful album to everyone, its like nothing else!
mystery of the yeti part 1 the call/the journey. yeah, this is the most ambient you can ever get, but its absolutely essential to the album. both MOTY's wouldnt be a journey without this to start it all!
MOTY pt2 freefalling upwards. woah! this one is kinda freaky for me, its intensely alienish, also equally like high on mount kailesh with its endless spacey vibes.
and of course all the atmospheric pink floyd moments!
mr bungle "the bends" by FAR the most freaking insane mind f'ing weirdo ambient ever! not psychadelic ambient tho, more like schizophrenic neurotic looney ambient!
tiamat: "atlantis as a lover", and "four leary biscuits". or most from the album "a deeper kind of slumber". this whole album is super mellow rock and ambient, probly the closest thing to pink floyd, especially division bell style, maybe a lil dreamier...

i cant find a picture of it anywhere, but the gayest cover ive ever seen, you can see it in the x-dream trip to trancesylvania album, its on tunnel records, and its gullum + hunter. and the cover looks like 2 dudes sucking on 2 ends of a dildo, and about to kiss... also it shows another hunter album, of just the guys face, but it makes yahels covers look very good.
