  1. Daze

    Shpongle

I love them because they take me to another place.
  2. Nice song! I like this one, could do with a little louder snare towards the end though I think... and maybe some sounds to go with the melody - but then again, I'm a sucker for buildups and climaxes.
  3. Yes ofcourse it does, but since the url links to a .html document and not a .mp3 (i.e, it's linked to a website - not your song), we can only save the webpage... and that's no good
  4. No we can't... The link is to a .html document, which sends us to a registration form.
  5. The only song that has ever made me cry was Talpa - People are Animals. It was a beautiful day, and right when the climax in the middle of the song kicked in, the sun shone through the leaves above me (I was walking through a forest), and this refreshing wind joined in, all at the same time... Might seem a bit "gay" but it was a magical moment! Don't really know why or how - it's hard to explain... I guess I was in the mood for it.
  6. First of all - nice job, from what I've heard of your old tracks, you have learned a lot! I like the bass (at least when the drums accompany it), and together with the kicks and percussion you got a nice full-on rhythm. The first synth that comes in at the start (around 00.18), works very nice too. Some melodies do however feel... kind of unnecessary. The one at 3.53 doesn't fit in at all in my opinion, and when the other melody joins in at 4.35 the two of them totally clash :x Maybe remove that melody, and add something else towards the climax... could be some psychadelic effects (doesn't even have to be rhythmic or organized in a pattern), or why not add a snare at every second kick (a hat might not be enough in a climax I think), and maybe even another one (very low volume - try using only the wet reverb of a snare sample for example) at every fourth kick... be sure to keep snares on a low volume though Don't know what more to say really... other than; Keep it up mate, you're making progress!
  7. Okay thank you Will try to solve it.
  8. Hmm I will look into the problem with the bass... I do mix with monitors, but the audio goes through my screen which amplifies the bass - that could be the problem Thanks for the input By the way, is the bass to "weak" on all three tracks, or only one or two of em?
  9. I've finished two new songs in the last couple of days - I've been working hard I also uploaded an updated version of my last track (now named Eclipse). URL: http://www.rb-servers.nl/daze/ As usual, feedback is very much appreciated
  10. Ow and I also got some sounds from Hip Hop ejay I used to play around with that when I was a kid... Very sucky program but with a nice scratch generator and some cool sounds
  11. Hehe thanks Carnage! I got about one third from Fruityloops and Reason's sound databases, about one third consists of samples from websites (www.findsounds.com is pretty cool ), computer games and movies, and the rest i recorded myself with a mic. Ofcourse all are heavily edited with effects etc.
  12. Hehe yeah agreed about the bass SunNata, thanks for your comment
  13. I like it a lot, and to be honest I think the drums are perfect I do however think the padlike synth in the first part of the song is rather disturbing, and it being there all the time amplifies the feeling of melodies being overused. Maybe remove it, and add some more psychadelic elements.
  14. Yeah, thanks man! I understand, and agree on all the points... Funny how things like these get so obvious once you have heard it from someone else. Thanks to both of you
  15. Hehe will do! I kind of wanted to make a slow build-up - melody kicks in around 5.08 Thanks a lot for feedback, I understand your thoughts
  16. Anyone? =/ I really enjoy making music, and I've just started... Feedback is very much appreciated :x
  17. Hey all, I'm back I have finished my second song now - I kind of wanted to make a dark, nighttime forestfriendly but yet melodic track... Don't really know what it all turned into Remember - I am still looking for basic advice about everything and anything! Anyway, here's the URL: http://www.swedenbbb.se/nameless_song.mp3 I didn't bother to name it, as I'm still only making songs for practise Please give me as much feedback as possible - I would really appreciate it.
  18. Thanks a lot for the advice guys! At the moment I am using Fruityloops, as I heard it's good to start off with.
  19. Okay I will experiment with some compression ;p Thanks a lot for the help!
  20. Hey again, I have now finished my first song! - for practise only though. I would however really appreciate every sort of possible feedback, as I am at the moment learning the programs. Tips on how to get better quality etc. - every tip is appreciated. And keep in mind that I am a newb, so please point out even the most obvious flaws I know it's not a good song, but that's not why i made it, I made it to learn from it Here's the url: http://www.swedenbbb.se/daze_-_practise_song.mp3 Thanks in advance.
  21. Thanks guys, you've helped me a lot. As a matter of fact, after the tips from you guys, I think my drums have already improved!
  22. Thanks! You did indeed help me, and I really appreciate it
  23. Hello guys! I have recently started producing my own music, and it's a lot of fun. Most things turn out okay, bassline, lead, etc., but I could really use some help on how to create nice drumpatterns. I got some pretty nice kicks, but I need something to kind of carry the rhythm along. Some artists do this in a wonderful way, like for example Dark Soho in their high-tempo tracks (like Karbaros). I am looking for ways to create that kind of dark, raw drums. I would appreciate it a lot if i could get some tips on how to build a nice pattern, what sounds or tools to use, special techniques, etc. Keep in mind that I am quite new to this, so even the most obvious advice might be of great use to me. Thanks in advance!
