1. Haha, I've never noticed that it says "grobal" on the front there. That's perfect engrish. They got it right on the sides of the jewelcase though :)

haha its such a common mistake in Japan along with anything else with an L in it.

Had a good laugh when i first saw the PsychedeRic Section of cd's in tokyo's Tower records

    Anyway,

SIRIUS is a nice label headed by head honcho TOKAGE SAN who also make great parties in japan.

Yes they did Release Dali's love of my life on the 40% compilation but that comp had some other good tunes too :P

  2. Do you know of any shuffle psytrance?

    504775

Well i do beleive another word for what you are looking for is SWING,

and indeed it is quite rare in psytrance.

It's very easy to sound ridiculous while using swing in high Bpm's,thus most shuffle and swing tracks would be found in Progressive trance which is slower.

Check out all of REEFER DECREE/ORYX's works.

LOOPUS IN FABULA also swings alot.

Latest example i could think of, would be the XVKILLIST remix to the ANTIX & BITMONX track,TANE (released not long ago on AMARASYA 2 from Blue tunes).

  3. Their recent album however was a complete pile of rectal sputum.

    502179

    rectal sputum...nice one

havent heard the album(and aint plannin on doin so),

just wanted to say i met steph from Bamboo in the sau paolo airport 2 days ago,and he said "he is tierd of the fullon bullshit" and plans of doin some progressive stuff...

as u said their 1st album was cool and they had some good tunes like the "breath" anthem and the Xtra ball track,so the progressive direction might fit him after all

  4. I have no idea what happened, but the weather is real shitty there now, so perhaps it blew down?

    499368

Official word from the PA system guys is that indeed it blew down from the rain.

This was the main stage, and all activities were moved to the second stage.

tomorw they intend to fix it.

    good luck with that.

  5. Not quite sure why this album is being reviewed here, being Morr-ish IDM and all, but I feel it is one of the greatest electronic albums ever made.

    491692

    Damm straight.

i have all of Isan's albums and most of their single releases, but MEET NEXT LIFE is deifinityly their best and quite a standout album.

Actually it's been one of these favorite go-to-sleep-with Cd's since its release, and still has a worthy rotation on the player, which says quite alot about its quality.

check out their webbie http://isan.co.uk/other.htm & the video of gunnera

    from Meet Next Life.

  6. who cares about the chill out track on this single?

j/k,its a good tune, but obviously its just a bonus here.

the main attractions are tracks 1 and 3,and they are damm good.

Landmark has an Epic bigger-than-life feel which u dont get alot these days.

and Emotional fugitive is a classic 303 proggi number.

if this is what the album will be like,i can't wait.

  7. While not a standout release, its not bad really....but not great by any means, except for perhaps 2-3 tunes.

I certanly agree with the public opinion that there is some kind of a problem with the general sound of the album, but i doubt toby himself sees it as a problem, this is probably the sound he was looking for.

In some tracks its better(like the opening track with Absolut),but the general feel is indeed very "dry".

There are some good tracks though(such as the Tango & Greed track and the collab with absolut, although that one's been out already) and a good word goes to the small but details-filled booklet with amusing stories about the tracks.

Sog has been releasing much better output than this(even though this is on ACDC),maybe thats one of the reasons for dissapointment...

Looking forward to Sog Files 3 from Greed and the boyz,Better luck with the next album....

  8. Let me tell u boyz and girlz,

    This is one fine album.

it has a few smashing dancefloor tracks, such as the collabs with Zen Mechanics and Emok.

But imho, what seperates this one from the rest of the crop,is how deep it is,each track actually has a story, which makes it perfect for home sessions, thus bringing this pieace a much longer lastability power.

Also the sound quality is really top notch, and u can really hear that much work was spent on the sounds - its not your regular loops/copy paste bonanza.

Way to go Yuli and good luck!

    :)

  9. i am checking them out now.thanks!

    btw IDM=experimental ?

oh and IDM means ?? :)

    490261

    IDM = Intelligent Dance Music

although if u ask me most IDM stuff is not for the dancefloor but for the mind

many sub-genres inside, but me thinks most notable is CLICKS & CUTS with loads of releases and artists

Favorite lables are Berlin based MORR MUSIC and legendary clicks & cuts artist POLE's SCAPE.

    check it out http://www.morrmusic.com/ + http://www.scape-music.de/ .

  10. After a month or so with this album, i can confirm its quite good - if youre an MFG fan that is,because musicwise its exactly the same style as it was years ago.

Obviously they updated their production abit, but it didnt dramatically change their sound. Therefore, for the average Hi-Tech fullon lover, it might sound abit "old".

But their melodies and stories are still quite relevant today imho, and in some tracks are as exciting as in the good ol' 90's.

Due to the religous metamorphosis one of the members of the band has gone through, there are some quite different samples in this album,at times amusing,at times abit wierd, but usually it works.

It certanly is a Different release from Hom-Mega,and a fine addition to the roster.

  11. to ace ventura:

And for that,Dark vision uniqueness, comes to expression by creating and brining into the trance scene a new style of electronic music

i hope the typo came from you,and not his promo...

    486385

No sir,its word by word, letter by letter, perfect Engrish from da man!

and to trancechick,no i do not have the honour of knowing this obviously great individual, and i must say i hope it stays that way

btw, intresting comment he left u in isratrance indeed ("peace&love my fucking arse you fuck junior bitch and your fucking rubbish "tranceChick" arse it so full of shit.

    BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!! " )

  12. He is for real and he is KILLLAAARRGH!

how can u ignore such fluent promotional text?

"His base line style based on power and speed in many variations who create alot of action and dont give you a rest even for one second...

His sounds are the product from his exclusive ideas who made from his deep psycho brain....

And for that,Dark vision uniqueness, comes to expression by creating and brining into the trance scene a new style of electronic music."

I think we already have a winner for BEST BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST of 2006

  13. I just got the new Greed album two days ago, and so far from a few listens it really utterly sucks. I didnt expect that at all, is it just me or what?

I havent listened to it enough to write a bad review, but I feel very tempted to start the shredder immediately!

    449863

    It's just you.

i wont lie to ya,its not the best release ever, but it certanly doesnt suck.

what surprised me at first was the sound of the album, very strange and dry in a way,but it kinda grows on ya,and if youre into this style youre bound to like it eventually.

tracks 1,3 and 6 are pretty cool(track one already released on Street art of tribal vision, great track).

But again, this is not an easy album to get into.
