    Hiya :)

    This was my first remix and I've spent a lot of really hard work on it, completely thrown away the first concept and reworked everything again. My decision was to convert the original track into a kinda hard psytrance track with a hard bassline and sharp, screaming non-melodic synthlines.

    Kindzadza is good, but I don't think that album will ever go down as a classic. Really nice twisted sounds though, and the repetitive bass works in what he is trying to do. But I think there is much better things coming out of russia. For full on twisted stuff, I am personally a huge fan of psyfactor right now. Two 5 star tracks: "666" on "there is no tomorrow" on inpsyde media, and "walkin demon" on ignis fatuus on trishula records.

     

    There's also killer techy-psy coming out of russia. names like PPS Project and Cybered make me move like crazy. Not enough people embrace the techy-psy.

    What about Jaia? Astrix? Yahel? Chi A.D.? Lucy in Space with Diamonds? Nissimyani? Silicon Sound? Xerox?

    Dont know if they are exactly what you were looking for, but I would categorize these as the more lighter Psy. The problem is, in general Psy is not so light. It would be much easier for me to find Dark Psy than 'Light Psy'.

    Hi, intresting topic here! I beleive it is very diffcult to find material that has the same full on energy liek psy-trance. I prduce breaks and take my infulences form psytrance.

     

    I have some psybreaks i have produced. I have only been doing it for a short while but looking for a record label that caters for this genre is proving very difficult. So i decided to make my own music.

    I have tried to do a kick with fruit kick, but I can't get the depth I want, and I have even tried to compress it too. :)

    Try layering two kicks. Pitch both about an octave down to something between C4 and C3. The idea is to make one kick cover the hi frequencies whereas the other one covers the lower frequencies. Increase the 'max' of the first one and lower the after-decay, then add lots of 'click' and lower the distortion. This one will be the higher kick. Then add the other kick with a very low levels, but more decay and distortion, but without any 'click', then layer them, EQ them, compress them, anything you like ;)

    Not the ultimate recipe but worked quite well on my last track :)

    Hey Paradice,

    I think its mainly Timecode Record that has some great releases, I'd try it there... and I'd search rather on breakbeat/electronica labels than on Psytrance Labels since most psy labels dont seem to be so interested in breakbeat influenced stuff...

    I'll listen to your mix later... always interested in breaks and stuff like that! :)

    Goa/Acid Trance Track finished

    Hey!

    Just got my newest track called "Pitchblack" finished. This one is something between Goa and Acid Trance. Quite melodic stuff yet Psychedelic, with lots of acidlines and stuff like that :)

    Thanks to 512Project who provided the great acid melody and the title.

     

    Warning: There are some quite loud noises in the beginning, so dont turn up your speakers to the max ;)

    if you are talking about the album TEN i totaly agree with you.

     

    except 2-3 track this album is a discrace!

    That's what I will do. AP are still giants in the genre and they almost always release quality stuff. Of course I'd appreciate if they returned to their old Goa style :)

    AP are good musicians and I like their stuff, but being honest, their music has gone worse lately if you ask me... their new tracks are not that spectacular.
