2. And what exactly was wrong with the Matrix (3)? (I'm getting to the point... )

    229437

terrible acting. terrible dialogue. convoluted plot. retarded ending. that scene where the black dude is shooting down those things that are penetrating their city... the entire time he is screaming "GNaaaaaaa!!!! Rrrraaaah!!! AhhHH!!!!!!"

special effects do not a great movie make.

i'm not saying i didn't enjoy it at all. i'm just saying it was a PIECE OF SHIT movie =) if you want to go percentages, i'd guestimate that 99% of people who saw all three feel that the second two movies should not have been made, as they have done nothing but taint the original.

  3. Zebedee Gherkin, shut up.

    222470

well, just got around to reading this thread....

seraph, i noticed that earlier you got on someone's case for calling their girlfriend a "bitch" in a playful manner (but i understand how it could be perceived as being hateful). anyway, it seems hypocritical to the spirit that I associated with the defensiveness to someone using the term "bitch" to also be able to tell someone to "shut up" for merely voicing an opinion. unless there is some underlying dissention between you two that i don't know about, i think this attitude is somewhat rude and hateful.. at least i'm perceiving it that way :(

  4. It's better than any 80% (ok, maybe 99 was a bit too much) of the movies I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. A lot I tell you. Name some movies you like!

And please don't tell me you're saying Matrix 1, at least, wasn't great?

    229391

hmm, i usually watch several a week, so a "movies i like" list would be several hundred long.

    some favs:

    clockwork orange

    dr strangelove

    req for a dream

    braveheart

    rob roy

    waking life

    before sunrise

    lotr trilogy

    butch cassidy & sundance kid

    heat

    terminator 1

    predator

    pi

    alien

    royal tenenbaums

    platoon

    princess bride

    godfather

    evil dead

    airplane

those are just a few off the top of my head =)

  5. While not as good as the first one, Matrix 3 is still better than 99% of the movies out there.

    229387

Hahahahahah what??? That's an absolutely ridiculous assertion. You need to see some more (better) movies, Cinos, before you give any high praise to a trilogy that never should have been. Either that, or you simply have poor taste :0

Let me guess, you think Jar-Jar Binks is "kewl"? Then again, I'm guessing you are not from the US, so maybe you just get bombarded with crappy American movies and do not get our oftentimes less popular but way more profound, not-just-eye-candy movies? I'm not saying that our movies are the be-all end-all of cinema, but in general we tend to have the best (and yeah, i see a lot of foreign films... im into the indie way more than the pop-culture matrix sequel wannabe shit)

  6. Clockwork Orange is a very good movie with VERY good music :)

I also have this poster on the wall.

I don't think you got my reference. The Matrix Revolutions was a terrible movie and has the track Navras by Juno Reactor in it. In "A Clockwork Orange", Alex is forced into associating sex, violence, the "in-out, in-out", rape, AND BEETHOVEN with pain/agony/nausea. So when he hears Beethoven later, he becomes ill and jumps out of the 3rd floor window (after he's been locked up there by the husband of the woman he raped earlier). So I was saying that I associate Navras with shittiness, so it's hard to enjoy it =)

A Clockwork Orange is probably my favorite movie of all time =)

  7. Great album!

    228205

well, i did like Involver too... and i like the fact that he didn't mix, but recreated all the tracks himself in the studio. however, it wasn't original stuff, nor did it have the flow nor fluid feeling of airdrawndagger...totally dif types of music. also, not ALL tracks on involver were spectacular... although it DID lead me to find more music by Ulrich Schnauss...

far away trains passing by is good, but nowhere near as awesome as A Strangely Isolated Place (ulrich schnauss)....the last track, self-titled, is absolutely phenomenal... and puts me in a trance every time i listen.

any of you out there ulrich fans?

  8. It's really down to your conscience.

I would not worry about getting sued, that is extremly unlikely and I doubt there is money to get for the artist to sue you.

For me personally it would depend a lot on how prominent the picture would be and how much the end result would depend on that picture.

If it's just the unaltered picture with some text over and it would be an amazing poster due to the picture I would feel uneasy about it on moral grounds.

But I gladly steal sounds or pictures if they are just becoming a small part of a track or collage and is not too prominent.

    227450

yeah i agree with spindrift, i think it depends on how prominant the picture will be... and also how much exposure it will receive. do you even know if it was done by an artist in the same country? also, did you change the image file name, because if you didn't you may be able to find it elsewhere on the net.

fine, i hoped i wouldn't have to go this low, but perhaps we all could gain a little insight from your high school diving competition photos. you should be proud of winning the most-water-displaced trophy!

  12. nah ensign's last reply is just lame, no originality whatsoever..

    226968

nah... i think what really happened was you ran out of self-portraits and now you must resort to critiquing the pics of you that I found =) seriously though, if you call a forum pathetic, why stick around? it would appear that you sure like to hang out in what you consider trash. your rep here is shot, it would seem, so there's no saving face now =)

  15. I dunno, maybe it's the american way to spell it?

    226913

actually, no. it's not just the "american" way to spell it. It's the ENGLISH WORD. Habbit:habit is not like humour:humor.

even www.dictionary.co.uk can't find your made-up spelling variation.

    give it up

    -ensign

ps - i don't give a flying #$% how you actually decide to spell it, mafia/traveller. I just find it hypocritical that you would make fun of someone else's spelling if you yourself are spelling-impaired. i'm not trying to make fun of non-native english speakers.... and neither should you.

  16. I think we should have a Top 10 funny words section.

words that just sound funny when you say them over and over.

my top 3 would be something like this

    3. Anus

    2. Elbow

    1. Jabberwock

those are indeed, very funny words in my opinion. perhaps you guys can come up

    with funnier words?

(this hasnt gone off-topic has it?)

edit:  "banana-phone" is quite good as well.

  17. Although one might not know you personally traveller, your posting habits aren't a secret, but on the contrary open to the public and some people do actually remember what they read.

You do certainly come across as somebody who is strongly against downloading trance music and are expressing that in a way were you are looking down on people that do so and claim that they would have enough money to buy CDs if they wouldn't spent it on other things and that these people are in your opinion lamers.

Your glorificatin of twisted records isn't a secret either and that doesn't only show in mentioning their released in every "best of" thread possible and your reviews, but also in you expressing your disliking of almost everything that is not released under that particular label.

It shouldn't be new to you, that people do have that impression, since already other people have been commenting about these two "trademarks" of yours. Unfortunately the search in isratrance doesn't work, so it's difficult to look anything up there, but I do have quite a good memory.

I also remember you writing in isratrance, that the off-topic section on psynews is a "kindergarden" and was actually wondering that you are hanging out there quite frequently ;)

    226680

    go, eleria!

btw, traveller, if you are going to comment on other people's spelling (cruisade) then you should learn to spell h-a-b-i-t. perhaps you were referring to a hobbit? =)

    -ensign

  18. I'm sorry who are you and what's a "cruisade"? Are you a stalker? If you're then you happen to be quite crappy one for not even 1% of my posts at isratrance is about mp3s. And please point out atleast 1 thread where I say that everything but twisted sucks? If I didn't know better I'd just say that you envy my sweet sweet sweet twisted promos :)

You're just pissed off cause you're not man/woman enough to buy records. You know you're wrong but all your money goes to drugs and you just can't cut them even a little to buy a cd every now and then. You're pathetic  <_<

    226637

dude, wtf are you talking about? now you are accusing people of wasting their life away on drugs if they aren't buying music??? hahahah WOW, you are ridiculous! And the point is WHO IS THE "THEM"?? if it's an old release, "them" sure as hell ain't "the artist".

    jeez!

    -ensign

ps - if I didn't know better, i'd say that you are upset that you AREN'T the only person listening to those "sweet, sweet, sweet" twisted promos
