  1. Ok, I've made a selection of a couple of the very best tracks released on Neogoa, that would definitely warrant a release on a physical medium.

This list might change over time though.

    1. Uth - Distant Instincts

    2. Astrancer - Tetragrammaton

    4. GoaTree - The Prayer

    3. Antares - Xibalba

    4. Siam - In Void

    5. Lunar Dawn - Future Of Mankind

    6. Nova Fractal - Perplexed

    7. Arronax & Somnesia - Blackhole (Extended Trip)

    8. Trinodia - Lasers and Demons

    9. BlackStarrFinale - Is Pause No

    10. Menkalian & Goa Human - Spirit Of Life

While writing this down I realized there are too many good tracks released on Neogoa to just make one cd. This tracklist is just an example of what could be compiled from the massive list of Neogoa releases. I would gladly offer my help in the compiling process though ^^

  2. Awesome compilation! Scanditrance for life!

Really all the tracks here are gems, with some humor in shapeshifter as well. Miranda and Atmos tracks kick ass as usually and all the other tracks showcase the talent those Scandinavians have to create twisted driving psytrance.

    Highly recommended!

  3. Very good pure psytrance album! I love the soundscapes and the modern bass-heavy yet very psychedelic sound-architecture.

Nice Fx, still some melody left but hidden beyond layers of undulating frequencies.

Favorites are without a doubt the braincell colab and the wizack twizack colab although the album really retains it's quality the whole way through. If anyone can point me out albums in this similar vein of psychedelic trance please go ahead, I feel I need more of this.

The album can be bought here btw:

  4. A strong first compilation with a couple of memorable tracks.

I was surprised by the power in the Psy-H project's tracks but as I love Alienapia as well I think they are a welcome variation. Pounding darker cosmic trance. Not surprisingly, the other tracks I like on this compilation are the darker ones. Especially Tesla, Psychopath and The Religion stand out to me, while Artifact303's The Answer and Holographic Universe, Filteria's Dreams Are Under Construction and E-Mantra's remix of Metempsychosis are good tracks as well. Also love the slower Astrancer, I'm still hoping to see an album released some day soon... The rest of the tracks are mediocre and do not catch my interest. I've heard better from Liquid Flow for example.

All in all recommended for some unique tracks and I'm curious to hear the next compilation from this label, called 'The Mystery of Crystal worlds'.

Well, to each his own - I liked it A LOT.

Sometimes you just want to buy a consistent album, without all those multigenered tunes one after another. Most of full-on, progressive or goatrance LPs (not counting obligatiory chillout tune at the end of course ;)) have this kind of structure and we often expect to be like this. Has anyone asked Bob Marley to cut the reggae phase on his next album ;)?

To me every track on this release flows in the neighbourhood of the others, but at the same time each has a different approach, so we can't confuse them.

If anyone of You like (mostly) positive twisted dub, than testing Globular should be on the next 'to-do' list. 8-9/10.

I feel the same way. It's a fantastic album and considering it is totally free everyone who has even the smallest of interest in psychedelic downtempo/dub owes it to him or herself to listen to this.

One of the best releases over at Ektoplazm.

  6. Cool story, I love how you discovered the music and already put so much work into the scene :) You're clearly someone who not only talks the talk but also walks the walk, contrary to some other members here. Kudos to you and thanks for the interesting read :)

Btw: I love those posters, especially the one for quantum flux! Reminds me a bit of Jeronimus Bosch :)
