New Terrafractyl is well due!

Ohhh that album art is terrible haha... Great track though!
-
If you feel like trying something a bit different and experimental give this a crack, really nice mix of glitch and psychedelic progressive.

Free too of course off ektoplazm, which is great btw, raid ektoplazm!!
Can always recommend more of the darker proggy sounds like Sensient and Cujorious One:
Pspiralife - Self Similiar, Tetrameth - The Eclectic Benevolence, VA - Mechanics of Awakening, VA - Spun Cycle
Also, I'm really looking forward to Logic Bomb's upcoming album!
-
I would like some recommendations too please. And I would like to recommend: Master Blaster's new album, Psykovsky's Tanetsveta and Loopus in Fabula new album.
There is also this coming out http://www.psyshop.c.../epp1cd014.html, a compilation by a hedonix.
Two Terrafractlyl tracks!

Maybe Sensient? And if that's the case the rest of Zenon is good too

And yeah, very nice girl..

Of course, but if we say it, isn't it always our opinion? What else could we be stating, facts? There aren't many facts when it comes to quality..
Unless we are quoting someone else of course.
IMHO

Check out Pspiralife's debut, quality intelligent psychedelic trance.

Short album preview on soundcloud if your interested.

Perhaps some Scuba? Not wob-wob dubstep

His albums A Mutual Apathy and Triangulation are both excellent.
Or you could try out Burial, Eskmo, F, Vex'd

Zen Mechanics has a few. Modified kicks off with a quote from William Gibson's Neuromancer
-
If you don't mind full on check out Terrafractyl. Manages to be intelligent, melodic and psychedelic while staying away from the cheese.

I reckon as LvB said, maybe try out the progressive suggestions, Merkaba and Tetrameth, but really anything from Zenon. Not a bad selection at Ektoplasm either. I wouldn't really call it the generic progressive sound at all, its definitely much darker, trippier and deeper and something different. Often either really tribal or really science, not the 'clubby' sound at all.

3 Months:
Overall:
Bit surprised that Shpongle album got on there, must be because it has 60 million tracks, or maybe I've just listened to it a lot...

Often people get stuck staring at the jigsaw pieces rather than looking at the whole puzzle, thus, this is random. Same with life too I guess, I know I one for one am always confused haha. But that's also why Dark Psy is my favourite style, its challenging and intelligent.

Just don't watch on durgs. It's intense enough!

Forget light and laser shows, I want holographic patterns and objects projected above my head at parties

I use this as a reference and reviewing site, if I hear a name thrown around on other forums or anywhere else, in it goes into the psynews search. Also probably the most accurate and comprehensive review section anywhere. Psynews hasn't let me down yet. However I probably should actually contribute something..
-
New Terrafractyl most definitely. Truly intelligent music.
Son Kite or even better yet I am craving for some more Ooze sounds
Oh and of course some Koxbox wouldn't go astray!
-
Hey I'd love to know what this is as well!! Anyone?
-
Haha not really a review, but just wanted to drop by and say how much I love this release. Keep it up
Career Quality Decline
in General Psytrance
Posted
The other week I went to a gig to watch my friend play who was billed among Quantize (who was great) and Talamasca.
Having only heard Beyond the Mask, an excellent album, I didn't really have any idea what Talamasca would be playing 11 years later. I guess I was expecting some intelligent full on along the lines of Braincell or something. I was definitely a little bit shocked, disgusted and disappointed when I was served a 1 kilogram block of terrible terrible cheese. It was bad, guitars and everything. I would have left after about 30 seconds if I wasn't with a whole bunch of other people who were somehow enjoying the party music and wanted to stay.
Of course this music serves its purpose and can be fun, but I guess I just don't get it. Why would you go from producing intelligent goa trance to producing crap? Of course music doesn't have to be serious business the whole time, but you can have fun and have quality..
What other once great artists have suffered the same decline? Just so I can avoid them in the future
