  3. This is a dub track i've written. It's written in reason 2.5 It's not finished yet, but I'd be happy with some comments. When I get comments afther I finished a song I usualy don't have the will to change anything and I rather work on new songs. That's why I post it unfinished. It's not mastered yet. here is the song: roel - forest resort You can also have a listen to my other songs. None of it is full-on or trance and most of it is not that psy. I think you guy's will like "... amovements take over" and "weather-forecast for musicians" most. Only one song is mastered as you can read in the intro of the page (and as you can probably hear) here's the link to the rest of my music: http://users.skynet.be/roelmusic/ cheers
  4. What does sound psychedelic? How do get sounds make sound psychedelic? I mean the "Future Sound Of London" type of psychedelic. Not the just layered melodies type of psy. Here's something to begin with: - hard detuned sounds lightly faling in pitch. - accidental short growing hard resonance on a synth. - much reverb/delay on sounds. sometimes also not doing this sounds very psychedelic. - voices (hard or slightly fx'ed / also small band pass filtering is nice) - out of pitch sounds, sounds that doesn't seem to fit the tone scale at first. - sounds from real life like footsteps, doors, screams, laughs,... with much verb. other tips are welcome, that's why I wrote this off course (selfish as I am)
  5. I surpose you just don't like the sound of the instruments used. you can't complain about rythms or melodies because they are so different in rock music (I use "rock" for every music with guitars, drums, bass,... but I already saw rock bands with only drums and synth (BS2000)) If you go and search for other artists than the most known names (witch is not that easy and will recuire a lot of time to find all different types of rock music, if it's possible anyway) you will be surprised of the diversity. It's like you would only know psytrance (compare to metal) and than find out all the other types of electronic music (compare to rock). Try listening to "The Mars Volta" (http://www.themarsvolta.com/) it's something different than you will be used to. A friend of mine also disslikes rock a lot, but he can stand "the mars volta". He even almost likes it. btw: If it's you in the avatar, I realy think your looks accompany the message very good. I mean you realy look like a rock-music-hater.
  6. This album is just great. I recommend it to everyone. Also to people that don't like psytrance/goa/fullon (or whatever the other names are) that much, but who like the psy influences a lot (like me). It reminds me a lot of orbital: beautiful very rythmic melodies, great atmosphere. Only this has more psy sounds (not more psy structure or melodies) in it and is more dubby. I was willing to ask this for a long time, but thought that mayby there were not that much people liking orbital, but now I'm going to ask: Are there other artists that have this kind of rythmic melodies (like orbital). Breakbeat and also 4/4 beat music that is not like the average psytrance where the melodies are always the same and not realy rythmic. The beats are always the same,... Or music with a lot other influences like in bluetech - Prayers For Rain (J.Viewz Remix). I need syncopic rythms and most of all syncopic melodies (if you know what I mean) I know already and like: Ott Juno Reactor sugestions???
  7. Here is a sample of the song used in the film. blackcatwhitecat.mp3 The song I mean is a quiet progressive goa remix of this one. It contains the vocals of this sample. roel
  8. It' s a trance track with only the vocals (the vocals in the beginning off the black cat white cat version) sampled. I know the version of emir custurica and the nosmoking orchestra and it's not that one that I mean. The one that I mean is a quiet progressive trance track. roel
