It rocks! It's like your in the middle of it. So realistically filmed. And oh the suspense!
My favs:
Sci-Fi:
Battlestar Galactica
Comedy:
30 Rock
The Big Bang Theory (you need to get used to Sheldon first)
Curb Your Enthusiasm (extremely embarrassing recognizable situations from the maker of Seinfeld Larry David)
Seinfeld
Action/Drama
Breaking Bad
Dexter
House
Psychoville (pretty crazy show, but very entertaining)
solid recs
i add boardwalk empire

I've heard over 15% of Darkpsy artist's budgets go into research on which random number generator to use. A lot of people complain that they are not really random. Is that what you're talking about Rotwang? when you say it's not random?

It's funny that people are fighting for three pages for the wrong reason.
The topic is why psy artists become less "psy" over time, not why psy artists evolve their sound.
A psy artist can choose from dozens of genres (both electronic and not), but it seems that most of them decide to ride the mainstream wagon.
Check out IM. A famous psy band that tried something different with the second cd of Converting Vegetarians, but from there they went completelly mainstream with adding vocals and having rockstar perfomances.
I also don't get how psytrance can limit an artist if he decides to evolve. You can be as morning or dark, groovy or aggressive, spacey or rough in psytrance. Yet most of the old school legends turn to full on or prog.
exactly
1. following trends is not trying and evolving
2. i dont believe for a second they make lame full on/prog because that happens to be what they like so much
i would not care for 1 second if all psy artist would make techno all of a sudden, as long as it's good techno. but somehow it tends to be even worse than other run of the mill stuff.

Wow, how did you guys go from the cutting edge label that was pushing
boundaries with tunes like this:
...to courting uber commercialism/mainstream of the likes of Armin Van Buren and this:
What an incredible nose dive
have to agree :/

it's not only a style change, some artist i know from here just get so much worse over time it seems. it's like you can hear the drag/boredom/rut or something.
what i dont understand is, how can you make a really good baseline all the time that is really involved with your track, full of life and then years later make it so dull, boring, stale, distanciated. its so hard to think they dont have the capacity to hear that themselves. the only thing i can think of is just not caring, and THAT might be what stings/offends people.

This remains for me a brilliant album after so many listens. A real keeper.
My favourite tracks change on each listen and it doesn't seem to get stale.
I love this album, easily as good as World Of Sleepers (if not better) and just a fraction away as being as good as Hyroponic Garden (although very different).
Great stuff all round, how I love CBL.
CBL does not disappoint
my problem with it is it seems so defined. i havent listened to it for a great while now, and my fear is that i will not hear anything new in it in spite of that. so lets hope im wrong . on another note... im sooooo happy Sama is sooo lovely!

My thoughts here
any new thoughts?

What about this? lol
haha, i hope thats not what the crickets are after.

thanks for the feedback this is the first time i mixed this kind of goa/psy and i was pretty surprised myself at how well it mixes!
i agree with the volume issues and normally i don't have that problem (with modern production).
i noticed it the first couple listens, but after some more now i don't really hear it anymore.
where do you think the major differences are?
oh well, at least it creates some dynamic

nano = nono for me, fearsome engine was already such a letdown, i cant imagine this being good.
how can people think using the same thing every time will be good? (ie. the baselines and eh well all the sounds? oh and also those gifs)
-
are house and techno also spoiled? (trance obv yes, incl psy)
-
baleted

listened to half of it just now. very tasty, very tasty. non of the goa i dont like there steady, trippy, solid tracks.
only dislike the 1st track for its dumb samples, and too bad of one of the transitions, other than those 2 things the 1st hour is withouth any sounds i dont like. i hope it will continue building without going too crazy like goa can be.
i would love to hear you play live!
