Well money's not really the issue here, just the fact that the one group that's responsible for getting me into goa/psy is inevitably going to disappoint me after years of waiting. On top of everything, the place that they're performing at (Soundbar) is Chicago's latest "megaclub." It's a relatively upper class type of place that upholds a high capacity and even higher drink prices. As you all may or may not know, house music got it's start in Chicago and therefore that's what most DJ's spin around here. When I found out that Infected Mushroom was going to perform at the city's current hot spot, my expectation went through the roof and I was instantly overwhelmed, just as I was when I first heard the Gathering and Classical Mushroom. Given the circumstances this most likely will be an IM the Supervisor tour, which in my opinion is quite possibly the worst representation of the group's talent. Regardless, I will most definitely be at the show on Friday and my only hope is that they'll put on a memorable performance that will leave a mark on this city.

Typical 1200 Mics flare. I can't help but take this album as a joke. Not necessarily bad in my opinion, but nothing particularly groundbreaking as well. If you're a fan you most likely won't be disappointed. 8.5/10

I just want to start out by saying that I've been a long time lurker and this is my first post on this excellent board. As I understand most of you guys are not from the States, but if I recall correctly a DJ by the name of Dan Efex posted here some time ago regarding the Chicagoland psytrance scene and how he was throwing down at the Liar's Club. To the best of my knowledge this is pretty much the only place that spun psy here in Chicago yet I have never managed to make it. My question is either to Dan or anyone else from the area... Where can I go to get my psychadelic fill in this house-loving city? Best regards from Chi-town P.S. Dan if you're reading this, I was hoping to see you spin at Vision but you never made it.
