  1. now if you could picure people being all crazy putting their hands above their head shaking them, sticking their tongues out ... being all goofy is what the song would make you do. It for sure has a circus theme to it.

    try

    Koxbox - Electronic Brainwash

    :posford:

  2. Very possible that the track was made in 199X and available on DAT for many years before it was released. I do not remember if I had this track on DAT to be honest, I know I had around 10 tracks on DAT by Space Tribe... Ill have to check when I get my hands on the old tapes :D

OR the tape is not from the Early nineties, but Late nineties :D

i personally found that adara could have given us more clues as she/he already had thoughts about it being a space tribe track

but it definately sounds quite old to me, to be honest

  3. sorry mate but it's arguments like these that throw music history research off track!!! This is how most people think about old tracks: an early track was made by an influential artist so that artist MUST be one of the main elements in the creation of the genre. Fact of the matter is that even a big-name artist started small and was influenced by other artists who were there before him. There is also the commercial factor: if an artist is well-known today it doesn't necessarily mean that he made revolutionary music, just that he made music that sold well at the time... It's like that for every art genre: you have true underground pioneers who spend their time trying out new things and die poor and misunderstood cause their stuff was too ahead of their time to be apreciated, and you have artists surfing on the wave of popularity, taking already existing elements and making "sellable" art. And the problem is that with your argument you'll give all the credit to the people surfing on the wave rather than the true creators. And let's face it, Ian Ion might have made some great early psytrance but he has also done some of the crappiest eurodance around (Wow Mr Yogi)... people tend to forget that ;)

    well said

kinda was thinking the same, but i prolly pinned myself too much on the videoclip-theme hehe

most good non-commercial underground stuff don't have videoclips

  4. Has all creativity been lost? Has it come to the point where the majority of the producers out there need to copy and paste in order to pump out any new CD's?

that means you find yourself in the wrong stream of data/news

you know how publicity works i assume, and publicity only concerns itself over the amount of general regulars, and how new & fresh sounds can get appealing for the general mass

(by using global recognisable elements that already were invented and used before in a succesfull manner

for me personally, i tend to follow up on artists which don't conform to the main stream (in order to achieve successes)

but ok, i'm a borderline-case on that matter, so i can only give a reply based on my own perspective

(w.o.w.: nothing to do with you personally, just trying to reflect within the subject ;) )

  5. ok 17 then. overhyped for me is something that is completely useless at a very high price. This is quality trance at a very high price, over PRICED maybe... ;)

    overpriced, yes idd

but overhyped because it gets sold even when seriously overpriced

    and 25 btw ;)
