  1. Dream Creator is a fantastic track, sure the melodies are clubby, but as a fan

of god club trance i can say this, while most psy artists completely suck at

making club trance (Manmademan etc), this guy definitelly delivers the goods.

Also heard Carpe Diem and Intercity from this album, both are good tracks, look

forward to hearing the rest of the album.

  2. This album lacks the Beauty of Awakening, it is really harsh and ugly. Spectra

is a good track, but not that special none the less. It is fair enough to

expect the artists sound to evolve, but i cant help but feel massively

dissapointed by this album. There is nothing here that 1000 other psy trance

    albums havent got.

  3. This review is for more broad minded music fans, rather than for the 'if its

not psychedelic, it must be shit' people, who seem to be rather prevalent

here. This compil e has mostly progressive trance, with some psy influences ,

which are rather slight. To go track by track: Track 1 is excellent, really

crispy prodution and quite funky, with some lovely synths as well. Track 2 has

some psychedelic touches, i think, but nothing special, really bland samples

throughout, doesnt reallt go anywhere. Track 3 quite a dark progressive

psychedelic track, some real haunting piano samples, i really like it. Track 4

i didnt like at all, sounded like a really flat techno song, which lacks power

and direction. Track 5 is club trance, remixed by a very famous club dj John

'00' Fleming. I love this track, its extremely uplifting and very classy

without the usual club trance cheese. Track 6 is typical MWNN sound, love it

or hate it. Track 7 is very housy, but rather uninspiring, pretty boring and

lacks the get up and dance factor. Track 8 is by Mark Allen and Tim Healy from

Quirk, and its also very housy, however this one is superb, very funky and

danceable, everyone who i know that heard it loves it. That breakdown will get

any dancefloor going i think. Finally track 9, this mix is is not as good as

track 1, it teases you but fails to really get going, however it still is a

pretty good song. In conclusion, this is a pretty good release i think, there

is nothing wrong with labels varying their styles.

  4. Superb..Not really psy trance, but not club music either, a sound unique to

Platipus (mainly two other acts: Art of Trance and Terra Ferma). Big emphasis

on nature sounds here, fantastically produced, this is very uplifting and

totally euphoric album without any hint of cheese. Once of the best trance

    releases of all time.

  5. Never really liked much of Filur stuff before, or even Son Kite (prefer more

melodic stuff). I have to say that Timesteps is a fucking awesome song, its

very powerfull and yet very melodic and beautifull, kinda liky SRange - 2001,

which is of my all time favs. That breakdown towards the end of the songs

    sends shivers down my spine.

  6. I just want to comment on the Tegma track, it is absolutely awesome!! Amazingly

powerfull, melodic with a lot of drive. One of the best progressive trance

    tracks i have ever heard.

  7. Interesting note; Random Landlord sounds a whole lot lik e the track Chab -

Tunelling, which is a progressive trance track and can be heard on Anthony

Pappa - Nubreed compilation, almost sounds like two very similar remixes of

the same song. Anyone heard both tracks and agree/disagree?

  8. While this album may not be as consistently good as "Are you Shpongled?", this

album definitelly reaches peaks which previous album did not, with some

amazing songs. Track 1 - Infectious, contagious spanish guitar with some

brilliant vocals (fucked with the way only Simon knows how) Track 5 - That

braziliant Samba type of melody apearing in the middle of the track - if there

is ever a song that can make me smile its this one - the best song on the

album and one of the best songs i have ever heard. Track 7 - a very

conventional song, but what a gorgeus one at that. Beatifull female vocals

with some stunning flute playing by Raj at the end. Overall while you could

not call this album psychedelic, it is a fantastic piece of music. I have

never heard of any other music that so effortlessly blends so many different

types of music into such a coherent and original sound. Shpongle surely must

be the greatest bad 99% of general public have never heard of. I believe the

time of Shpongle world domination is near.
