some company in japan just released a sequencer/synth package for the nintendo ds. this article explains pretty well how it works and what it can do:

i dont know how well suited it would be to making psy (given the limited range of sound complexity and effects), but it might work well as sort of a musical sketchpad while on the go--or a live performance tool (if you could use it to trigger loops on a pc). especially sweet i think is the feature allowing multiple copies on multiple DS's to synchronize.

Not that I hate it, but I heard it like a million times ^^
that is indeed pretty overdone. if ever get good at making music id like to record myself reading passages of the dune books in an ominous voice, there'd be so much great material. also i dont think there are enough tracks (if any) that sample the new battlestar galactica--there are some lines in that show that would go perfectly in psy tracks.

It always seemed like he was getting more and more disgusted with the genre but it would be nice if he had kept the archives and podcasts up even if there weren't new reviews. I always enjoyed reading them (even the negative ones) and often LOL'd in the process. And it was the only place ive ever seen a psytrance track referred to as 'homeric' which is an achievement in itself.

i went, it was awesome. although seone had a very loud soundsystem, all you could really hear was the (extremely bumping) kick and the high frequencies. despite that it was a great time and im definitely stoked for oood's next album now.

i was in london in feb. and asked the same thing on here; i dont think there are any psy-shops anymore in camden but i would definately visit the inspiral lounge (in camden). good food and atmosphere.
