  1. i agree that the house scene has better djs overall...

but at the same time a lot of those tracks are so repetitive...

so they are much easier to mix... it's almost impossible to mix tracks together in full-on psy b/c

there is a lot of layering going on...

as far as psy being for just for going crazy on the dancefloor... u r talking about the commercial artists who now make music that's digestible by the greater amount of people... psytrance music of 7-8 years ago was different...

i guess it comes down to taste... cause even if a house djs mixes 4 trax in one, chances are i'll still get bored most of the time, cause i don't like to wait 24 bars to have a change...

  2. i guess it depends for who...

for those who love cheezy formulaic full-on music the scene is doing great...

for me it's getting worse and worse...

i can hardly find good new music these days...

but there are scenes in the US that are very much alive like in san francisco, LA or new york...

  3. basilik i totally agree with u...

it's too easy to blame the death of a label on downloading...

what about the 20 new labels that pop up every week??

they are equally to blame imo...

    anyway sad day indeed...

best spiral trax releases for me:

    atmos - headcleaner

    human blue - ice

  4. i was also very disappointed by this release...

not a single track i like...

maybe it works at parties but then again a lot of tracks work at parties where half the crowd is gone on drugs...

  5. i just heard the samples yesterday... what a piece of crap...

totally generic stuff, and the singing is atrocious...

and yeah profane i agree with what u said... she's only here cause she looks good... and i am sure that she'll end up singing with duvdev... i mean their music sound similar anyway....

  6. i love fullon basslines so i have no problems with new astral stuff...

sure their older tracks had better structure and melodies, but it was all so goddamm chezzy for me... so i am happy that they evolved their sound...

and to those who are still hoping that they will make music like before.. well it ain't gonna happen so u better get used to it... i mean come on people... so much hate in this thread....

  7. listened to it today...

while it is psychedelic and has some nice sounds, i was kinda disappointed....

melodies are not really my style and some tracks don't really go places like someone already said....

but i guess it is a step in the right direction...

fav tracks the one with dick trevor and the one with tristan...

  8. @ lumpi: my thoughts exactely...

i had some high expectations for the album and was disappointed...

the style is more full-on that the previous releases on compilations... and there are few tracks that really stood out for me on this one... but still some nice grooves and sounds as usual with them...

  9. he changed his style to a more predictable type of full-on...

i love the terratonics track, except the melody that's so incredibly cheasy...

but that sample is just great... i heard that track at a party last weekend and i have to admit that it sounded great on a big soundsystem...

same thing for the circadians track... starts really good then it gets interrupted by another cheese fest.... the ambient track is really good too... the rest did not do it for me...
