  3. I saw an live DJ-set with a female DJ here in Denmark (it was an Are51 thing in Gatten) and she was DJ'ing in her bra... Very nice... If I could only remember her name... Damn.... have the flyer at home, and I'm at work now.... She wasn't that good though....

  4. Ah man... I had a review ready of this, but Setusko beat me to it.... Anyway,

here's my review: Best Of Iboga Volume One here? Danish label Iboga have

selected their best EPs and made them available on CD for the first time + One

track from their first CD compil Tabernathe + one previously unreleased track

from Lurifax. It should come as no surprise to anyone, that this is minimal

trance, but very good minimal trance. #1 Ahh? Insane track from audiophiles

Audiopile? Very well selected track-name.;o) ... #2 is Seb & Marcus from Son

Kite. Very nice track her - it has the amazing Otherwise-feel that I love so

much. (check my review here: http://www.psynews.org/compils/otherw.htm). #3 is

an unreleased track from Lurifax? It?s been floating around the Danish

dat-mafia for a while, so there?s a good chance you?ve heard this one at a

party. Not my fav?e on this CD. #4 is Beat Bizarre, and this is a typical

BB-track in the Lewd-style we all know. #5 ?this was the 1st track that Iboga

ever released! It has this drive which I really like?Very nice indeed? #6 from

the first, to this, the latest Iboga release. I like the first better, but

this gets better as the track progresses. I quite like the female voice in

this track. Very powerful track. #7 Very? ehh?. Occult bass-line in this

track?Good track, but compared to some of the other tracks one this CD one of

the weakest here?. #8 ? Right, anyone who owns Iboga?s very first CD

Tabernathe knows this track? The only track on this CD with melodies in it?It

still sounds fresh? Ahhh? I like this one! #9 ? Never heard this one before,

but DAMN this is a noisy track? I?m sure this will KILL on the dancefloors?

Aaarhg, what an insane sound? This must be the psy-equivalent to Danish crap

euro-dance clown Dj Aligator?s ?Whistle Song?? This track is only 900 times

better! All in all, this is a very, very nice minimal compilation. Those who

know me, know that I have to be REALLY impressed to enjoy progressive minimal,

but this suits my ears, and everyone who digs the unique sound of Iboga should

    own this! Very nice! 8.5/10

    02. 07'34" Domi : Eisblumengarten

    03. 08'13" Yahel On Jörg : Nauschka

    09. 08'32" Cosma Shiva : In Memory Of Terence

    Review:

Ahhh.. A new Shiva Space Technology compilation. And not even a fake one.*g*

. Very nice! ;o) Shiva Space Technology have brought me many happy times.

Shidapu, Shiva Sidpao, Yahel and the likes, so I had high expectations when

receiving this CD. The promotional material says "Let some lightbeams during

the dark European wintertime" . Ehh?? S.S.T. always cracks me up with their

crappy English and funny spelling errors. Take a look at the backcover of

Yahel's "For The People" for a huge bunch of errors!.. Anyway - the question

is, whether these tracks can provide me with some light in these dark times

    - and YES I'm happy to say that they can .thank-you-very-much! A short

introduction to the tracks: (#1) Nice start. Happy uplifting

morning-trance.. My mind is going - there's no question about it. (#2) Ahh..

Very good track here from Mr. Pastor. I'd like to take a closer look at that

iceflower-garden for sure. Very nice melody in this track! (#3) . Yahel On

Jörg? . Ehhw. Sounds like a dodgy gay-porn flick that I don't wanna see.

This track has a very cheesy intro, which is brutally interrupted by a very

bangy bass. Aaarhg.. and to top it of, there a kid singing/humming towards

the end of the track.. Ehhw. Skip this track! (#4) Better track than it's

predecessor . As the artists-name suggest this is heavily invaded with

guitar-riffs.. But the guitars are well-fitted and this is a nice, happy

track! (#5) Like the Program Change comp had a cover of Psycho, this comp

has a cover of the classic Erez-track Power Of Celtic, and some might say

that the track has been butchered, but I actually like this track. Once

again it is heavily soaked in guitars, so if you don't like that, you'll

hate this track. Quite ok track I think, and I'm looking forward to

Lemurians upcoming album "Crystal Minds".Oh, one more thing: What's with the

artist names collaboration trend? I'm mean - what will be next: Infected

Space Jörg On Mushroom Meets Talamasca Vs. Cat Yahel Who Battles GMS

Featuring Astral Nomad? Enough is enough! Moving on to (#6) which is one of

the best tracks here. Very cool, powerful track from Sphero! Nicey nice!

(#7) is DJ Lestat with the fastest track on this comp.. A samples says "Very

nice" and well, yes that's what it is. Spooky ending too! ;o). (#8) . Quite

average track. I could wish for more drive in this track, but it has

potential.. (#9) . Last track, and according to psy-tradition a track with a

smaller Bpm-count. This track is pretty good and a very worthy last track..

To conclude, a compilation with many good tracks. Best are 2, 5, 6 & 7. If

you feel like some nice, psychedelic uplifting morning-tracks you should

definitely go for this compilation. Critics will label this

Erez-mastered-it-so-it's-cheesy, but luckily we can't all share the same

tastes. All I know is that I liked this, and would recommend this to any fan

of uplifting trance. Beautiful cover too! 8/10

  7. Alienated - FF

    Artist: Alienated

    Title: FF

    Label: Creamcop

    Date: 2001

    Track listing:

    01. 09'37" Balloonies

    02. 07'39" Night Worm

    03. 10'25" Fluff Factory

    04. 07'48" Electro

    05. 09'13" Injection (2001 Edit)

    06. 09'06" Cheetah Test

    07. 09'45" Peaker

    08. 11'20" Last Moon

    Review:

The plastic men are coming! Yes! This is what I like my trance to sound

like. From Danish label Creamcrop comes a very interesting - and limited -

debut album-release from psy-masters Thomas Larsen and Jeffrey D. Jensen

(Orichalcum, etc.). This is a cool mix of different styles, which creates a

very unique sound. From full-on mayhem to terror-techno to

dance-till-you-drop psy-killers, this blend of fine tunes of various styles

suits my ears, and my bid says that FF stands for "F*cking Fantastic".. Or

Fat Fingers?.. Or Fierce Fishtank?. Or perhaps Freaky Fluffers.?! I dunno,

but what I do know is that there are only 1000 copies pressed of this fine

album - so go get this right now! All tracks are good, but so far my fav'e

are the brilliant opener Balloonies (#1), the overwhelming Fluff Factory

(#3), the hectic banging Ejection 2001 Edit (#5) and of course the stomping

anthem Last Moon (#8).The only flaw I can think of, is that sometimes this

tends to get just a little bit too monotonous, but hey - it's Creamcrop so I

guess that's what you can expect. Go get your Fat Fingers on this when

    there's still time! 8.5/10
