Transjuicer
Real name Hans Van Noord, is no stranger to the Dutch Psychedelic Trance scene, having played throughout Holland and further afield including the UK. Juicing together the many fruits of psychedelic trance is what Transjuicer is well known for, his sets are always well received as he delivers seamless mixes onto the trance floors and into the airwaves. John Phantasm has been in the music business long enough to see the many falls and rises that have transpired over the years as well as the latest trends of youth culture musically. Not only the proud Dad of highly acclaimed UK psy trance act and producer Eskimo, John is also the driving force behind one of the UK’s most original Trance record labels, Phantasm Records, a major force in the psy trance world since their first releases in 1993 and regular feature in the playlists of every DJ large or small on the psy trance scene today..
With superb contemporary releases like the Strange Frequencies, Tokyo 24/7 and Molecular Counterpart compilations, Phantasm are still pushing the boundaries forward, and have been the launch pad for many of the artists in the trance world today, including the meteoric rise of Eskimo, currently the scene’s brightest and most original talent.
I managed to catch up with John recently during some time out of his hectic schedule of travelling, Djing and studio work to find out more about the birth of Phantasm Records, the UK trance scene and of course his Son, Eskimo.

Festival News From on Site..
Hi folks, the news is good despite all the recent weather! Stages are going in. Marquees are going up. Get ready for the wave!
Our site is holding up well thanks to the nature of the chalk landscape we are on, which drains rapidly.
There is metal track way at the gate and our capable crew are confident we're prepared for any weather contingency.
Our car park is immediately off of the main road, so its not difficult to get into, or out of, and the site is still very much green and pleasant.
And the weather forecast for the weekend is sunny!
The online ticket shop at http://www.waveformfestival.com closes at 6pm Thursday.
All tickets purchased form now until then will be held on the gate.

ED TANGENT
Ed is known as one of the UK’s most talented and experienced Psy Trance Djs whose unique style of music is facilitated by pin point music manipulation on the decks and an energetic stage presence that gives an increased amount of energy to the dance floor.
Ed has been at the forefront and start of the psychedelic trance scene in the UK. His name has appeared on stages nationally with countless events and festivals, including running the dance tent at some, providing his legendary Sunrise stage!
Not stopping there, Ed is a label Dj for the infamous Phantasm Records stable, label manager for Israel / UK based Psycore records as well as being an integral part of Psylicious Management & Collective.

VISUAL RHYTHM
Joining Ed Tangent on the Waveform Main stage will be the LIVE visual impact that is Visual Rhythm. Founded by Tony & Kerryanne, Visual Rhythm provide unique live visual concepts that have transformed stages and events into a full show complimenting Live acts and Djs. Visual Rhythm have provided their unique shows to brands including Tidy Trax, Global Gathering as well as corporate such as Sony Tekkon awards to name just a few. Their pivotal show and input saw them on MTV where they provided backing for rock band ‘Breed 77’ and their music video ‘World On Fire’ that then became music video of the month on MTV.

PAUL DIDGE LIVE
Paul Didge has been playing the didgeridoo for 15 years and is known as one of the UKS leading didgerioo players(quoted by BBC radio Wiltshire), blending the trance inducing sound of the didgeridoo with electronic music ranging from chill out to trance and drum'n' bass. during his life of playing the didgeridoo it has taken him on many adventures in his life.

OOOD – LIVE SET
OOOD's first release was on Phantasm Records in 1996, with their collaborative side-project Unconscious Collective subsequently releasing one of Flying Rhino's biggest-selling tracks, 'Fluorostani Transcendance' later that year. Nowadays the dance floor side of both acts is combined into OOOD, and the Unconscious Collective remains as a focus for the more eclectic, often chilled-out but always inventive non-trance floor output of the group. With up to 6 people on stage and musicianship of all kinds very much in evidence in both OOOD and Unconscious Collective, they have performed live (in various combinations) all over the world from New York to Japan via South Africa, Israel and of course the UK and Europe.

MR. STRANGELOVE – WONKY DISCO
Resident DJ and promoter for Wonky Disco, Mr Strangelove has been making a name for himself in the London Psy trance scene, with sets for Alchemy, Astral Pheonix, Synergy Spinners and Wonky Disco. Behind the decks he is an energetic bundle of silly grins and waving arms, bouncing around like a loon and drawing the crowd with him as he plays his blend of slickly mixed, fun and bouncy full-on psy trance.
ARTEMIS – PSYLICIOUS (USA)
There is an ancient myth that was lost long ago. In Ancient Greece, on the night of the full moon, the call of horns could be heard gathering animals and people alike to the Temple of Artemis to send their praises to the night sky.
ARTEMIS is well known on the USA’s East coast circuit and is also a regular player for the 6362MetaForce crew in NYC. Her sound is full on, dark and driving. Artemis is also one half of the female psy trance duo ‘Mistresses Of Mayhem’ with the other half being Mistress Jade.

It’s finally here, right on the horizon! The Shamania 2008 Festival is about to begin. Boasting three stages of music and entertainment, months of planning, hair pulling and dare I say stress is finally coming to an end for the festival in the north shadowed by historic Lancashire scenery and land marks.
With a hefty artillery of DJs and Acts on the main stage including; Hydraglyph, Safi Connection, Eat Static, John Phantasm, Dick Trevor and Cosmosis on the main stage hosted by Sunrise and Kulu

There’s also the Alternative Stage powered by Leeds based event Riff Raff which sees ADAM Lab4, Mick Cree aka Dynamic Intervention, Dave The Drummer, Chris Liberator, Ben Fraser and Sol Ray just to name a few, join the mighty Riff Raff residents and friends for one alternative show down, not even the myth and magic of the hill could scare away.
Chilled out vibes can be caught on the Chill Stage by Synchronistic Sounds along with O.V.N.I, Merv (Eat Static) and a whole host of guests who will please and slow the pace nicely.
With refreshments and food a plenty including Mrs. Whitedogs Cafe, stalls and kids stuff, along with work shops, therapies and well, you got to come to experience it and take it all in….

Last year Waveform established itself as an award wining, environmentally friendly event with an incredible line up of cutting edge dance music. This year, it’s back with an all night music license and even more musical variety.
This years’ Waveform will be held at Warren Farm, Liddington, Wilts, SN4 0EB, close to the M4 with easy access from Bristol and London, but far enough away from any neighbours to mean that we can extend our music policy around the clock!
SIX STAGES
With a line up that includes Eat Static, System 7, Gaudi, KISSMET, Far Too Loud and many more, the Main Stage and Gaia Chill areas return, but are joined by a vastly expanded Trance Arena.
Hosted with Tribe Of Frog will host some of the finest international DJ’s and live acts around amongst incredible sound and decor.
The Breaks Stage, featuring Archangel Breaks, will return with additional electronica & dubstep to keep all tastes in quality dance music happy.
