Review:

Track 2 is GREAT, Track 6 is Bad, other Tracks are "listenable" ...

In fact, the problem is that this Album is more Trance than Goa ... not really

psychedelic Tracks :-(

If you like Trance, I think you should appreciate this album, but if you're

looking for Goa, don't buy it ...

Rating : 3.5/10

Very laid back 'dinner party trance', and almost certainly not psychedelic.

Excellent production as you'd expect from the Rhino stable. Mostly Harmless

A CD for people who really like techno (not for hard infected goa fans) and

used to love old dreamy German trance. The best tracks are MICROMEGA, OPEN

SEA, ATOLL and ROMA a really beautiful melancolic tune. The rest is good but

not memorable. 7/10

some of the most touching human trance I've heard...up there with Astral, but I

agree that its not 'hard core' (they don't claim to be) PLUR

I love that choo choo train noise that hits every second beat once Alidade gets

going : ) Beautiful album imo although perhaps better in small portions.

Actually large portions are nice too ...ummmm...... whatever your portion size

I would recommend this

Well, this is my second all-times favorite after Shpongle. Starting from a

beautiful, rich textured psy-trance track, this album gets more sentimental to

the middle, and then back to the darker side, from track to track, ending in

the best downtempo track I've ever heard. All tracks are wonderful, excellent

production, great sounds, spacey strings and melodies. This reminds me of the

old Eye-Q times... no cheese, but space. Get it.

At first this didn't really sound good at all...It sounded like the arrangement

sucked big time but after a few listens it got a lot better and it's actually

great and very deep music. All the songs are quite similar except the ambient

one but it doesn't really matter, great and unique atmosphere and flawless

sound(very well produced). Not really psy-trance but who cares if it sounds

great?

This is very light psychedelic trance, so if you like something harder, I

suggest you'll skip this one.

The songs sound all the same the first times you listen to this cd, but when

you start learning the songs, you're in heaven.

This is really unique style of psychedelic trance. If you like about every

electronic stuff, I recommend this.

Crystal is one of the best songs I know, you can also hear it on Pulse 6. RATE:

9/10.

This album will take you away to another space and time without the use of any

substances - take this CD to a beach under the stars and you WILL have a

musical experience unlike any other in your lifetime! This is one of the true

pinnacles of electronic music, and I do not say that lightly. If you haven't

heard Blue Planet, and you have a tendency to let music carry you on a journey

of the mind, you owe it to yourself to buy this CD as soon as you can. 10/10

(11/10 outdoors)

Wether this is psy trance or not, it really doesn't

matter. This album takes you on an incredible mind

journey. Excellent production, deep atmospheres,

dream, melodic, sometimes darker, sometimes more uplift,

but always with an ethereal quality. Yes, listen to it

under the stars. :-) 9/10

Hey , this album is great ! This is pure trance with powerfull rythms and

melodies . It's completly mindblowing , i love the feeling of those old trance

tunes , very uplifting and ascensionnal , takes you into a visual , colourful

and flowing trip! Alilade is i think the best example of the album , it's very

long , the rythm is repetitive but strong , the mix is full of layers

everywhere but it's not saturated , everything is mixed into an harmonious way

. The mix is so clear that you can still distinguish all the different parts

and leads comming up . As the track evolves , you'll notice those flanged

sounds undulating slowly and the FXs coming occasionnaly , everything is

PERFECT in this track!!!!

Being a hard core GOA fan, I was initially disappointed with this disc.. After

a couple a listens a couple tracks caught my ear, after a few more listens,

DAM!!! This is definitely not psy-trance or goa, but what it is is beautiful

trance, not mind blowing, but very intelligently pleasing to listen to. This

is in my top 5 for the year 1999, easily. Track 3 and 5 are absolute gems..

brilliantly produced and sculpted.. Any fan of the whole techno genre should

appreciate this album. enough said.. 10/10.. #4 for the year 1999...

Yup, fresh is the right word. The whole album is a journey, starts with slower

songs, then gets harder, and finishes on ambient songs. Lots of reverb and

vibrating sounds, some of the tracks are hypnothysing. Best tracks Micromega,

Atoll and Roma (beatiful melody in this one). Overall 8.5/10

Probably one of the best albums which i heard. I love the very sophisticated

and psychedelic loops. An advice: If you like to dream with trance-ambient,

close your eyes, open your ears, and listen ARCANA very loud in your headphone

and "have a good trip!"
