I guess you have a computer!?! like everyone else on this planet.. *almost*

Then you should buy Reason and play around with that.

You will learn alot and you will have heaps of fun!! ;)

If you are looking for hardware you might find cheap synths like Yamaha cs2x,

KORG MS2000, Nordmicro...

These don´t cost a fortune...

BanG!

Slidingtrancer: what do you think about the nordmicro?

I use that one mainly for basses and they are really deep!! ;)

I´m gonna buy my self a effectunit to my nordmicro... I think it will sound even greater then..

like Mike Indidginus said: go with a Waldorf Q, only $300, ;-)

If ure just a beginner in music I'd suggest u use some software at first, this would give u the notion of electronic musicmaking...and of course its cheaper.

cubase nuendo logic or cakewalk + reaktor and you will be able to make near pro quality stuff. with reaktor you can build samplers, synths, and use it for effects sends! buy a pro audio card though. the cheapest is m-audio audiophile 2496 $150. low latency is a must! (a midi controller would help too)
