Hey everyone,

I'd like to share with you my recent creation - Psychill Space. It's a community-curated music database. You can filter tracks and albums by their genres, moods and tags. And you can submit your own music.

The incredible advantage of the website is that we let users profile the music for genres and subgenres, moods and tags, which leads to accurate recommendations. We don't host any music (besides optional 30-90s previews), we only collect data and provide links to bandcamp and streaming platforms.

Hey, thanks for this website! This is a great idea!

However, I have a question: how do new genres get added on there? I realised the lack of "Nitzhonot" and "Nitzhogoa" will be an issue when I'll submit music in these genres... I'm also not sure I saw "Psycore" and "Swamp Psy", but I may be mistaken

Edit: Psy-related genre I know that are not on there

- Flashcore(not Psytrance, but a sound design technique associated with Psycore and sometimes Hi-Tech as well)

- Nitzhogoa

- Nitzhonot

- Psybounce (not well-defined though, and very mainstream, so most users of that website probably hate it anyways lol)

- Psycore

- Psystyle / Hardpsy (Hardstyle + Psytrance fusion, it's more associated with the Hardstyle community than the Psytrance community though)

- Swamp Psytrance (Forest subgenre)

- Greek Uplifting Trance(no official name (usually just named "Uplifting Trance", though that name is confusing because "Epic Trance" is also often called "Uplifting Trance"), lost its Psytrance influences, but emerged from Nitzhonot and is welcomed in Nitzhonot spaces, even those filled with Goa Tranceheads)

It may (or may not) also be pertinent to add Tribe / Mental / Acidcore-related genres, since at least in France, Psytrance people usually are Tribe / Mental / Acidcore people first and foremost (but often also make or listen to more internationally Psytrance-y music like Goa Trance)

I know a bit of EBM-Darkpsy genre fusions as well :)

Lol sorry, my aggressive passion for music genres got triggered, hope that's not *too* overwhelming for you 😭

Oh, and another question! How do I prove that I indeed am Azétris? Should I give a private link to my music or does just declaring that I'm this obscure artist that no one knows suffice?

Hi there!

An idea for a "suggest a missing genre" button recently came into my head, I just didn't have enough time to implement it.

For each subgenre I will need to dive in a little bit more and consider whether it's different enough to be noticed by an average person, and whether there's enough music in it to justify adding a hybrid genre (rather than just setting the sliders to 50% genre X and 50% genre Y).  For example zenonesque is just an umbrella term for anything that sounds like from zenon records, for which we already have bush progressive and dark progressive and a combination of these two will cover basically 90% of these releases. Remaining 10% would be probably just psy-techno.

So, some of the genres you mentioned I was already planning on adding, the rest, like swamp psytrance - I would have to look into and have some research first

If you have an official account on any social media, it would be best if you shared the website on it and/or sent a message from that profile to Psychill Space's profile. If not, you can for example send an email from an email thats visible ie. on bandcamp, etc.

Thanks for the response! Well, there are so many other genres I've heard in many different Psytrance tracks that are not on the website and that I would love to see there (hence why my message got edited to add more of them before I reloaded the page and saw your response... though I forgot to add Mizrahi Music / Muzika Mizrahit, which is a pretty frequent influence in Nitzhonot 😛)

I messaged someone on Facebook (from my personal account...), not sure if it was you or not but I recognized the surname from psychill.space... ah, and of course I don't know how to contact people from my artist page unless they message me first x) Does my DM suffice or should I make a post to mention psychill.space on my artist page?
