Please post what it says in the log ;) And if you have a legal copy, you can take that log and give it to Steinberg....

Its a long shot but whenever I have gotten this error, its almost always been because of a plug in not wanting to play with the other kids correctly. One of the older Steinberg plug ins that always gives me that error is Karlette, the tape delay plug in, which always kills my (legit) copy of SX3. I can use it fine, render it it to wave fine, but as soon as I try to save it, BAM, I get that error and the file I was saving to become worthless and I have to go back to the previous version I saved and recreate anything I did before (one reason to use ctrl + alt + s ALOT).

Some ppl have that error, it's said to happen in the cracked version only. You may try to rename the audioprimitves.opt file, maybe it might help. Or you could try a reinstallation. Are you also using the latest drivers for your soundcard?

well, Jikkenteki says that his copy is original so i dont think this is the only reason. i tried to reinstall and i have the latest drivers.

anyway, i started a new project today and i got this error again but i managed to keep on working with sound so its abit strange dont you think?

i think it could be that my settings arent correct (buffer etc), but i really didnt play with them because i have no idea in that field.

thanks for the help! :drama:

I just read in a german audio forum about some guys having the same prob, even after a new installation of cubase without any other plugins installed.

Two of them claim that it was caused by their RAM modules. One could solve it by changing the RAM and the other by updating the bios update.

Others claim the cpu to be responsible. Another guy found out that somehow cubase was connected with a printer .dll fil, after removing the connection it worked fine.

Google lists several pages containing "audioprimitives.opt" with others having exactly the same prob.

Seems to be a bigger issue. I wish you good luck in solving it :)
