Release Date: 16th February 2007

With the recent burgeoning explosion of new psy-trance music across the globe, long-time connoiseurs of trance music have a lot of "fluff" to wade through to find the real quality music... these people need look no further than the latest album of creations by Jodi Sidhu, aptly entitled "New Sensations". For the last decade, Joti has been making his mark and building himself up a reputation for nothing but top-notch, masterfully produced rocking psy-trance grooves released on some of the most influential world labels out there. Drawing from a wealth of experience from working with artists such as Juno Reactor, Spacecat, Simon Posford and others, and playing to crowds from Mount Fuji to the burning Nevada deserts, Joti has demonstrated that he knows how to please a crowd!

"Burning Sensations is more than just ten track of generic psy-trance... from the album's getgo it's evident that Joti's music is a cut above the rest Ten ultra-funkdafied, meticulously produced musical pieces featuring the meatiest, punchiest basslines and some of the most intense tweaks and squelches to be heard in today's trance music seem to stick in you like a fishhook and don't let go, tugging you along a mad tea ride and inspiring your body to keep wiggling just when you thought there wasn't a wiggle left in you! Not for the indoor, not for the outdoor, and containing plaenty of moods for both settings, Joti Sidhu's autumn release "New Sensations" is guaranteed to remain fresh in your playlist no matter the upcoming season. If you haven't heard about the things Joti Sidhu can do to a dancefloor, come out from the rock you've been living under and give "New Sensations" a listen... and prepare never to be able to hear psy-trance music the same way again.

Track by Track:

Audio Chemistry (Joti Sidhu vs Hallucinogen) - Long Long Arms (Joti Sidhu Remix)

Long Long Arms, the intro track to Joti Sidhu's new album makes no bones about ramping up the vibe from the get-go, and with the legendary Simon Posford in the mix its no wonder... a hard-hitting bassline punctuates sliced vocals and thick trance leads, and an epic, mind-warping breakdown makes for some great tension-and-release action.

White On Ice

White On Ice comes in darker and sinister! Picking up the vibe where the first track left over, the listener is greeted with a funky bass riff and some cutting-edge squelchwork making for a catchy and corrosive acid trance track. Joti really turns up the electro groove midway through... This is a great all around winter dancefloor stomper.

Do This

Kicking off on the minimalist tip with layers being applies gradually along the way, Do This builds up to be a mad-housey clubland psytrance piece from crisp sixteenth-note basstones to the retro rhythms and brass hits. This track has all the flavor of a 70's disco lovechild fathered by twisted psytrance musical genius.

Not Crazy (vs Dj Mack)

Joti definitely gets spooky on us with Not Crazy... the notes are plump and meaty with industrial-ish percusssive arrangements and bass that sounds like it's ground out of a motorcycle engine! Heavy on extended, intricate padwork and filters, this track is a bit more atmospheric and progressize... with plenty of a darker edge.

Versace On Acid

This track two distinct halves... the first half conveying an air of pulsating spaciousness, the second being more melodic and communicative. Joti does a great job with the sweeping notes; the melody is not overworked as is common with so many other psytrance tracks nowadays, and the bassline evolves nicely with the track to boot.

Metaphysical

It's hard to say which parts of Metaphysical are most enjoyable; the ever-changing, orbiting background effects, the intricate shuffling of the percussion, or the anthemic buildups which seem to blossom forth... Joti does an excellent job on his filters and sweeps in all layers... this track will doubtless get some serious play this winter.

New Sensations Remix

Starting perhaps heavier on the melodic-morning tip than the rest of the album, this remix of the title track delivers no less richly! Bits of sinsiter audio malevolency clash with and prevail over the earlier elements of light to give the feeling that the night isn't over... yet !

Trance Posers (Joti Sidhu vs Riktam from GMS) - Trance Pose

Trance Pose takes you on a cacophanic roller coaster ride of a trance track for sure! From downbeat to melody, themyriad layers ride the crest of resonant filters, growling rhythm riffs, and shifting pitch scales, flipping itself over and reinventing itself constantly. This track could be beard a thousand times and still keep its freshness.

Bonus Tracks:

Live Fast, Die Young (Shanti Remix)

Live Fast Die Young has a completely different flavor... heavily infused with alien tribal elements and organic sounding jungle night noises, this track is feral and was born to be heard outdoors! Transitioning nicely between tense, complex musical moments to airy, floating pads and back... this one grabs you and doesn't want to let go.

Joti Sidhu vs Dj Edoardo - Chaotic Biotic (PTX Remix)

Closing out this amazing album by Joti Sidhu, Chaotic Biotic is a peak-hours slammer... tweaked out buildups and breakdowns make for orgasmic moments of dancefloor revelry! Joti reaches abck to the sounds of the old school for some truly acid-drenched psy-trance melody. Plug this midway into your set and watch the dust clouds rise
