Review:

I usually don't like Platipus music so much, it is cute trance, earthy and

catchy but this album really has quality trance songs...It is just plain

trance, no psychedelic, and no EVIL as all trance acts are providing us with

these days...This is melodic and islandic album...:) Simon Berry really take

you to the journey into the EARTH...If you like melodic and sea album you will

certainly like this one...best on album : MONSOON, MADAGASCAR ( ! ), REQUIEM,

EASTER ISLAND, PANORAMA...7.5/10

A very nice, floating album for those beautiful mornings, when you've just

woken up, just wanting to listen to something smooth. This is very nice

indeed, uplifting (at spots a bit cheesy, but I think it fits in), not too

complicated, crystal clear and clean. Whether this is "normal trance" or psy,

I don't know, but I don't like almost any club trance, while I do like this...

when the time is right. I have to admit I don't listen to this that much, but

when I do, it's the best thing I could listen to at those moments, lovely.

it was time to review this piece of ART. This isn't psychodelic, nor even GOA

trance, some trax, like Madagascar, reminds me of Juno Reactor. cute... 8.5/10

good album, madagascar is a cool track... but sometimes this gets really too

nicey- nice.... this is typical platipus records, very popular some time ago

in beach parties about 4 years ago.... i like this, but i would much rather

hear muddier mfg, astral projection or the smooth touch of human blue for the

mornings,,, after some time this can be a bit irritating if in a curious mood,

as it is very uplifting, and as is the case with most uplifting music, it can

get boring and one dimensional...... but overall i would rate this one as a

buy, but don't expect to play this at a goa party..... in israel they throw

stuff, and in south africa they would pie you in the face, so adventurous

dj's, try that at your own peril..... but worth listening to in certain

situations...

Those familiar with the great -Union Jack- will recognise a sound or two since

Platipus label owner Simon Berry used to be in that act together with Claudio

Guisanni, now in -Terra Ferma-. However, whereas the style; light on

craziness, heavy on epic melodies, is shared with Union Jack, both solo

efforts don't come anywhere near the 'There will be no Armageddon' levels imo

except for Madagaskar. Maybe mixmasters GMS could spice up that track a

little. Thats my major gripe with AoT, the melodies are there but it doesn't

bite and growl. 6/10.
