Insejn
V/A - Vision Quest Artist: Various Title: Vision Quest Label: Vision Quest Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 07'35" The Delta : Pop (Synthetic Rmx) 02. 07'44" X-Dream : Irritant 03. 05'00" MOS : Jaja 04. 06'31" Midi Miliz : Soopercharge 05. 06'44" Ear Gear : Anomalie 06. 05'54" The Delta : PC Fresh 07. 06'10" Authentic : Solid (The Delta Rmx) 08. 09'07" Organic Noise : The Vacuum 09. 07'16" X-Dream : Inter-Corporal Stimulator 10. 06'16" Spirallianz : Motorman Review: This was unexpected. Released on Visoion Quest from Japan. As you see it's a pretty heavy album. And thats exactly what it is. And it's minimal. Maybe you already heard some of these tracks. And yet again i'm not a minimal digger. But some tracks are pretty good. Everything (almost) sounds like X-Dream newer stuff or The Delta. And gets boring after a while. Anyway...The best track is x-dream - inter-corporal stimulator. I hope the new album from X-Dream will sound more like that and less then Irritant. If you like dark minimal you will like this. Final Verdict: 6/
Guest MK
Look @ the line-up!!! Overall I do not like mixed discs, but this is an exception. All tracks flow nicely and this is a very hard night set to sink your teeth into. If you like deep, pulsating nacht musik - this is for you. I would have preferred 10 unreleased tracks - but i guess this is the 1st time most of these trax are available on CD, and X-Dreams' mixing skills are quite tight. This is what 1am - 4am at a party should sound like - full + deep + meaty - 8.5/10 -BRING IT BACK!
Guest swedish_sauna
This is the BEST mix compilation that I've ever heard^^^ ALL trax are killers.......... ALLLL!!
Guest russ
btw, arne from midimiliz actually chose the tracks and did the mixing, not x-dream, despite what it says in the liner notes. killer cd if you like this style. also a stroke of marketing genius. this cd came out before the big visionquest festival last summer, together with party flyer inside the case. they flooded the stores with these, sold thousands before the party, got close to 10,000 people, and made well over 1 million dollars at a single party! Guest V4K
I don't have this CD but I have almost all the songs featured here and I personaly think they are THE BOMB!!!!!! I play a lot of MidiMiliz, The Delta and Spirallianz in my set, so I can't say this isn't a great compill. Might be a little minimal but it's also pretty hard and heavy stuff. Killer Night Stuff on this CD, it'll make you travell straight to a dark cave or betwen rusty industrial machines.
