Guest gizmomarek[at]hotmail[dot]com
Galaxy - Solar Synthesis Artist: Galaxy Title: Solar Synthesis Label: Blue Room Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 10'57" Higher frequency 02. 08'00" Golden Crown 03. 09'52" Liquid Sky 04. 06'38" Dreamland 05. 05'47" The Island 06. 07'24" Connected 07. 05'59" Freezer 08. 05'37" Lowen Im Regeu 09. 08'32" Big Blue 10. 03'09" Fragment Review: Long awaited 2nd new album from B.Blenn aka Galaxy And Electric Universe. The stuff on this Cd is not so fresh, some of these tracks were written 2 years ago, even more. I thought that'll be chill out album, but not only. "Solar Synthesis" contains also classic trance tracks. "Higher Frequency" very good track, nice chilli electro melody, sounds like a long intro. "Golden Crown" experimental one, nice melody in the background And very fast broken rythm. "Liquid Sky" also breakbeated, with samples similar to these from "Meteor". "Dreamland" first trance tracks, sounds like electric universe stuff, light And with Ibiza sounds influences. Also "The Island" (this track is known from the album EU "Waves"). "Connected" also very good trancy piece of work. "Freezer" is rather minimalistic breakbistic one , very interesting. "Lowen Im Regeu" electro mad one. "Big Blue" - great, really great downtempo track. "Fragment" this one is lite ambient music from Ibiza nights. Blenn is known that he can create great tracks with original melodies, also this time he doesn't disapoint us. I think "Angel" was a little better, but "Solar Synthesis" is also good quality stuff. I recomend. It's original. 8/
Children
Hum ? Average album (I precise I don?t have the first Galaxy album, so I?m discovering the style) ? it should be a peaceful album, but I think the samples used, drums And some melodies are too agressive ? Track 4, much more psychedelic than 3 first Tracks, is pretty cool ? Track 5 is interesting too ? a good psychedelic Track with peaceful melodies ? maybe the best here with Track 4 ? Track 6 is sometimes psychedelic, sometimes more peaceful ? pretty interesting Track ? Track 9 is more Blue Planet Corporation oriented in some of its sounds ? but not peaceful enough to make you relax ? Track 10 is much too short ? other Tracks not mentionned are reallynot outstanding in my opinion ? in conclusion we don?t know what?s the aim of this album : make you relax or make you dance ? Really don?t know ? too psychedelic to make you relax, not enough psychedelic to make you dane ? sounds professional, but I don?t think I?ll listen to it often in the future ? I was waiting for more from a Boris Blenn album ? Rating : 4.5/

Guest Acidhive
Great stuff here from Mr. Blenn (as usual) but this one is exceptionally good!! Especially those electro like tracks .. Track 8 for example... WOW!! All hail to the master of melodies and great sounds!! Boris, I salute you... 9/10 here!!
seraph
Pretty BAD release from the master....I wasn't expecting this at all...Housey, funky and totally IBIZA is definetely not my style, especially in trance and ambient...pretty boring structures and extremely dull songs...Only few that are worth of some attention : DREAMLAND AND CONNECTED.... 4/
Guest contact[at]digital808[dot]com
Hmmm... first of let me explain how this album works and what makes it so great. Its essentially a heavily based trance album. It has very long cyber melodies which are layered on top of nice drum sets (not your standard 4/4 and nothing else). Its very relaxing and spacey and at the same time its got a life in it when you listen to the beats. There is no funk in it; as a matter of fact its a clear definition of what trance is. There are no complex goa rhythms, nor will you find any commercial ibiza vocals. All in all its a beautiful collection of trance sounds. Strongy recommend it. Guest joemrmeat[at]hotmail[dot]com
I'm agree with Children, some samples are too agressive for the style, we can't set up between a chill out or a trance album...The ambient tracks like "liquid sky" are excelent !! But psedo-chill-out tracks like "the island" are too noisi, with the tb-303 sounds...I thinks tb-303 is not a chillout instrument...anyway, the entire album is kind of interesting... 7/
seraph
I have to correct myself....I don't know where my head was when I was first listening to this album and even having a bad critic over it...yes, it is more light and smoother than his other releases, but, to hell, it isn't bad as I said...It is more mellow and light trance music...It is not nor psychedelic nor goa trance...After realising this album I like more songs now : HIGHER FREQUENCY ( ! ), LIQUID SKY, DREAMLAND, CONNECTED, BIG BLUE...7/
