Review:

This is a very interesting compilation , very dancefloor orientated . I ordered

this compilation cause of the Reefer Decree track , which is extremely

wonderful . With this release the Flow label get's a place in my label top 5 .

OK , and now for who's curious ... a short track description . #1 is as i

mentioned already my favourite track on this compilation ... actually , it's

one of my favourite Reefer Decree tracks on this moment . they use a very

clear sound , they have the same style but there is a crazy sample in the

middle of the track which is so subtle . #2 has great psychedelic background

noises , and the track has a special kick ... great . #3 not bad but this has

been done before , although nice percussion . #4 an XV Kilist Killer , no

doubt about that ... very groovy structures and a clear sound. #5 wow , what a

surprise , a droidlock must have ... this track creates a dreamy futuristic

atmosphere . #6 the Storm brothers aka Antix are talented guys , after hear!

ing their tracks on the Plastik Park releases I was looking forward to hear

more ... and again . they've done it better than properly ... a killer . #7

good one , but not realy impressive... nice groove ... #8 superb track by

Tegma , realy superb ... massive sound , very hypnotising ... one of my

favourites . #9 nice atmosphere , very trancy , great melodies ........ well I

think my description says enough , if you like progressive psychedelic trance

don't miss this one . 8,5/10

This compilation is great if your into minimal/progressive... Most of the

tracks take very long to build up.. great cd if your a warm up dj.. It doesnt

consist of any Full ON... Its the typical minimal sound of today... I dig this

album, but nowdays Im more into full on/psy...

i agree with a setsuko's review above, with one glaring exception. the

filur-liquid shuffle track is a masterpiece, one of the greatest psy tracks i

have ever heard and on a different level from anything else on this cd. this

is seb from son kite, and to my mind this is maybe the most psychedelic track

he has ever done. you can tell he's triggering a lot of notes with a midi

violin, as the properties of a string are so much more dynamic than simple

keys. listen to that string-synth noise come screaming in and then dance

about. also there is this incredible amount of movement in the track, as

everything is shuffling across the stereo spectrum (rhythms which sound like

they are stamped out by a 100-legged dancing bug shuffling around in liquid

purple pools), and the color of all the sounds is also constantly moving and

shuffling around in a liquid swirl. nothing sits still here. and this little

voice coming whispering in about now for something a little different. and

in the coup de grace, seb then gets this voice to start do a bit of singing.

this track just kills me in every way! never heard anything like it!

fantastically subtle production. played this in a dj set for some friends at

home on liquid with some good speakers, and they both were totally dumbfounded

and completely incommunicato until the track finished. with big eyes full of

wonder, my friend asked, "what...was...that?" welcome to seb's world.

If you like Filur, you should check out his new EP (flow 004)

timesteps/flumride. Excellent material. I'll post my review of this comp

soon.

I totally agree with setsuko (1st review), his review of this album is spot on.

One of the best compilations this year, if you like the progressive sound. The

XV Kilist tune is amazing and works very well on the dance floor. A must,

8.5/10

In my opinion Flowin' was an excellent compilation, after that, flow has gone

more soft, filtered beats, change, now Non-Toxic Frequencies are softer and

more reefer decree, paste and xv kilist style. its still fun to listen, but

after just a few listens it becomes boring very quick. Antix i think is the

best track here, solid technoish track, tegma is not bad either.

IMO one of the best compilations of 2001, along with Noisy Implant (when will

someone review this one?), Footprints & Movers and Groovers 2. Really great

for psychedelic-progressive sound lovers. I like almost every track, except

track 3 by Quarz. Best tracks are Paste - Dropzone, Droidlock - People I Meet,

and especially Antix - Konstructor (best track I heard from Strom Brothers)

and Adrenochrome - Raumsimulation. 9/10
