The "Party People" in Sweden suxxx..

I've been thinking about something..When you go to a party in sweden there are sooooooo many "ravers" (I guess you call them candyravers)that don't have a clue about the music.. The stand next to you with colourfull clothes, stupid UV-Sticks that they swing them around and they have whistels and shit... The clothes don't bother me at all, the thing the bothers me are the whistels.why do people take a whistle with them to a party??

But the thing that makes me soooooo angry is that people like me who don't were Space Tribe shirts and stuff like that are like "outsiders" in the partys..Everyone is looking strange at me if i go with a white t-shirt to a party...They don't know what track is playing, they don't know a shit still they look strange at you like if they were real Ravers and you are like a wannabe...I've been listening to psycehdelic trance for like 8 years..

Everytime a liveact comes to docklands it's the same..When the act is going up to the stage to start fixing the synths and connecting their Mac people start to scream and think they have started to play...that's only one example of who the candy ravers are in sweden..and it's the candyravers that take the drugs and then the police come and shut down the partys and destroys for people like me who is going there only for the music...these people maybe should join an other comunity... And please stop looking so strange at the people that don't wear the same clothes as you, they might be as much ravers as you are. If not more....

Well Docklands used to be a good place to go in the early 90´s, but i agree with u there ara alot of "Rave Kids" with flashy clothes who are just trying to be cool.

But i depends where u go cos all party swedes are not like that, they (ravekids) just need to figure out wats it all about and that is the music and having a good time Not standing in the corner trying to look cool in their new flashy fractals böowing their anoying wistle, messing up the music.

They just need to GROW UP.

Go to a forest party. The kids usually dont find them :)

Peace!

and dont pick on my English:)

Well this is about the scene in Sweden so I write in Swedish:

i used to take often a WHISTLE in a party... ;P

(Yes i am a party ANIMAL !!)

After all its a party dude! all the people need to party and dance , and there is freedom to express all these feelings ..thats very important in order to keep positive vibes in a party..

I will agree about clothes and appearance .... this matter is not important ..actualy it will be realy interesting a nake-psyparty in a nice tropical beach...

About the music knowledge... hmm.. it seems that you judge certain people considering their music knowledge and they judge YOU considering you cloth(appearance) taste..Thats no good from both sides...

I guess that you should try to be more openminded and accept in your life certain persons that being pain in the ass sometimes...

Try to improve your party life by choosing the best for you!!!

So if its best for you to find people who dont have whistles and are not fashion victims and are "music-freaks".. then as other people stated here , RUN TO THE FORESTS ! maybe its better for you there...

dont forget though, that in this planet live billions of people and each one has different tastes, characteristics , thoughts ,interests...i advise you to welcome more and more people in to your world ...

Believe me you will be amazed and suprised of what are you going to learn...

dude, you can dress and glowstick and do whatever you want, it shouldn't bother other people

but using a whistle is the most obnoxious thing you could possibly do and it bothers many people at a party. While everyone should do whatever they feel like (I agree on that), they should draw a line where it starts affecting other people and their party experience.

Whistles are not cool and are completely fail in place because they fuck up the acoustic experience that most people go to parties for.

i don't mean to offend the people that wear Psy-clothes..i have 3 space tribe shirts..but that's not the point here..the point is that people judge you from the way you look..when i wear my space-tribe shirt everyone is looking and saying: he is one of us. when i have a white t-shirt is more like: look, a wannabe, what is he doing here? see my point?? and i hate whistels, especially when someone is standing next to you..it's soooo anoying!!!

To brain: I don't care if you know the music or not, everyone is welcome, but usually the candyravers are the snobs, they one that judges you and the ones that don't know a fuck about the music...Even if i am Greek just like you (ne re megale, ilikrina sou milao) i've never been in a indoor party in greek. but i guess people there would hate the whistels as much as we do here in sweden...don't judge me and i won't judge you. it's that simpe...

PS: I really hate whistels and stupid UV-sticks *lol*

Var är min visselpipa?

Everyone of us has to be a newbie sometimes. Some of us have to be bored old freaks sometimes...

Whistles sucks. PERIOD. Personally I dont like glowsticks either.. but WHISTLES REALLY sucks..

Althogh I dont agree on the clothing thing that much,... I dont judge people (well i try not too anyways)... When I first started going to raves in 95/96 i just were normal clothes... I fucking loved the music and tried to find out everything i could about it... but then, I got more interested in clothes... so I started to use "uv-clothes" and spacetribe.

People should wear what they want,.. although people that use Whistles does not have ANY place in the goascene ;)... As long as everybody is feeling good, wear what-ever-clothes...

nowadays i dressup more like minimalistic psy-head and im sure some people judge me by my way of dressing... but I dont care anymore. I dont dress up to show off... I dress up in clothes that I like (some people at Docklands dresses up like gay-trancevestites in big fluffy stuff. I DO think they only dress up like that to show off their bodies etc which sucks)... but hey, if they like to showoff, let them.. I can only laugh at people trying to look "bad".. doing "bad" face-expressions etc..

When I first introduced myself into "party culture", it was all about ideology to me. Even clothing. (It wasn´t psy parties that I first went to..) Not about posing in the first place, but about always searching for smt new. Smt to give strange vibes to the other people, _not_ so much to feel good-looking oneself. To do everything differently, not according to some codes. Then all the weird and different looking freaks would come together at a party always and...amen. Ideology.

So, in reality, it´s been depressive to see all those clichés and posing among "candy-kids" and "speed-kids". On the other hand, it´s been just as depressive to see all the prejudice among the "older" freaks towards _all_ abnormal clothing. As if it would automatically be "posing", as if they could read everyone´s mind and see they´re all like the same... If there ever was prejudice, then this must be it!!!

Everytime I see someone at a party with an innovative clothing, perhaps self-made or smt, it gives me a kick. Everytime I use some strange piece of clothing, it´s not just or primarily about posing. Say you don´t believe this, and I say you´re just as prejudiced as "all the" "scene-teens".

Whistles suck, yes, except for maybe some "raves" - that don´t exist anymore. But "visselpipa" is just sooo funny a word that i had to use it even without meaning anything=)

And honestly, I think that if someone´s clothing or grinning _really_ is indifferent to you, you´ll never _laugh_ at it. You laugh for disgust, joy, maybe hidden fear (!?)...but never for indifference. So...are you laughing at the moment? Yes, you! How is it? :P

I think that might be a global effect. In Portugal we also have the same problem, you see people in parties that started listening to psytrance like a month or two ago and they already think they know all. Their behaviour in parties, well its like all its been discussed here. :(

It's the same in france... Poor kids... they are all dressed the same way but they have the impression to not belong to any category and to remain underground...
