Another excellent compilation from Lestat's/Pulsate's Moon Spirit labels, and

yes, we've heard of it before as they released the Lunar Civilization comp.

Review:

Mmm... Mmm Mmm... Now this is fine ;) - 10 quality tracks on a quality comp

from a quality label(?!) (Anyone who has heard about this label before?!) The

cd starts out very nice with Bamboo Forest, who delivers a fine track with

many weird sounds and a though bassline, there are a little melody here as

well - Super! Next track is with Neuromotor... More dark than the first one,

but again with many psychadelic influences... - Very good also! Track number

three is with Soundfarmer wich is Ricktam from GMS and another guy named

Celli... And Banzi has remixed it... One of the best ones here - Typical GMS

sounds but with a beutiful melody! - That's class! Then it's Talamasca vs.

Manitu... Also a good track... Especially at the end... But i enjoy some of

the older work of DJ Lestat more! Wizzy Noise delivers a killer with track

number five "Deeply Unexpected"... This track is just sooo cool! GMS here with

a visitor "Sebi" (Who is he?!) - I don't know, but the result is great! Again

typical GMS sounds, but with the beutiful fast melodies the track just keep

getting better and better! Track seven is Jaïa's work... And he did well... A

dark track with a percussion moment at the middle... - Nice! Track eight is

produced by Walhalla... This one is one of the weakest here, and it's good...

Says something about the quality of this comp! VERY dark, minimalistic track,

with absolutly no melody, but it still has a good vibe... And i don't skip it

when i hear this cd. Then it's time for the Noma experience... A dark melodic

track, with many nice drum percussions... Also one of the very good ones! Last

track is a SUPERB chill-out track by Toires... I never thought that good

ambient could be so short... But this is just amazing! Great track to end this

cd... With the coolest vibe i've heard in a long time! ... ... ... This

compilation is just so good... It's so well compiled and it's just so

beutiful! When i first heard it i thought i was listening to an album...

- GREAT work by Mookiz, Fred and DJ Pulsate... A clear 10/10 !!!!

Well yes this is a good compilation. I like wizzy noize, GMS, and neuromotor.

NOW for you GMS freaks I cant belive you people dont know who SEBI is. SEBI

is the original GMS member. When GMS was still killer, songs like RED LIGHT,

FIFTH RECEPTOR.

well anyways this compilation gets a 8/10 for me

Ha, nice shit here from the frogs-really pumps with the same intesity as that

reborn cd! Chimdog as usual takes us to that dancefloor in the sky and finally

Wizzy Noise have moved away from that Minimal bolloxs and made something worth

stomping to! Nice one-psytrance does it again!!

Allright, this is a GREAT compilation ! It?s been a while since I?ve heard a

full-on compilation reach this height. This one starts off with Experimental

Jam, which isn?t really experimental in my eyes, just a kicking track, with

the usual Bamboo Forest flavour. Excellent way to start off, this one isn?t so

fast in the Bpm range, still it rocks you off your socks...!! Track 2, well,

to me is the best track on this whole comp.

This one is so damn full on, you get to think it isn?t funny anymore! That

distorted sound really takes me there. Ohh yes! Then it?s soundfarmer time,

with GMD extra flavour, cuz they remixed this track. Quite full on again, and

pretty cool. Genetic Monster is a usual Talamasca like track, though it ends

more full-on than most of the tracks Talamasca did. It also has samples from

Aliens, which is a nice change again. Wizzy Noise deliver the second best

track on this IMO. This one is in the Tripoid mould, though they changed the

samples somewhat, this one is also sooo damn full-on... Can?t stand still when

I put this one on!! GMS is next and another full-on screechy track is the

result. One of their better of late IMO. Jaia follows with another quite

full-on track, more in the mould of Time Machine, without the lovely strings.

Walhalla is one of the tracks on this cd that I don?t love so much. It?s not

bad, though it could?ve been better and is too long, almost 10 minutes. (too

long for this track believe me) But, it?s a change from all the full-on stuff.

Nomad winds down a little bit, at least that?s what you think when it first

starts. Soon thereafter you?re in Psychedelia mode again!! Great track. Toires

rounds all the stuff off, with ... An ambient track!! Allright then. Overall,

this?ll get 9/10 from me. And you think: Wait a minute. He didn?t like all

tracks did he? So what?s with the 9?? Well, the Walhalla track should?ve been

a little more full-on. That said, it?s not half bad, so the 9/10 is

justifiable IMO. Get this!! Oh yeah, almost forgot. This comp has crystal

clear sound production. Maybe because Bamboo Forest mastered the whole thing???

Bom Shankar!!

Plz tell why does the version of GENETIC MONSTER on the compilation differs

from the one that is one the LP??

Is that a remix???

Well after a few listens I like it A LOT more than i did at first, but am not

crazy about it as I thought I'd be based on the reviews and whatnot. No

tracks really stand out to be as being all that original or

mindblowing.

It's worth saying that I'm a total Hux~Flux/Logic Bomb

nut(I'm also redundant ;-)) and most of this "new-school"/"techno-ey" stuff

just sounds like a less outrageous and righteous version of Hux~Flux...

Nothing that "gets my attention" like the new Psysex album

does...

Me thinks a new sound/style/ is around the corner- something big and new when enough

producers tire of following the innovators(like X-Dream, Hux-Flux, Psysex,

Shpongle) leads... No disrespect intended tho and again I reiterate that I

like the comp but just wasn't amazed by it.................................
