Review:

After the first journey the guys at Return to the Source have decided to churn

out another album devoted to their long term resident DJ Chrisbo, who is half

of Medicine Drum and a damn fine Globe trotting DJ....this episode explores a

set which he has tried and tested around the globe...and by the look of the

cover , especially in Asia! Starts off with Juno Reactor ` Nitrogen 2` which

is an absolutely killer track that im sure everyone is aware of by now...very

electronic and original!

Dogma 3000 is a very heavy percussion track quite chaotic and very clubby

sounding..not great but a worthy addition, Paul Gann track explodes in the mix

and it has an old sample that i can remember from a DJ Misjah tune years

back...very uplifting and banging..a cool voice sample intermixed with lots of

build ups and euphoric slants, a typical high of any DJs set! Earth delivers a

real stomping tech/trance tune which really picks up the pace of the album

again in my eyes...a real stormer!!..Tetra*clash (shakta remix) expertly mixed

in mechanical psy/trance beginning ...echoey effects and great rhythms plus a

melodic tip towards the end.

Cass brings us one of the highlights of the album, very melodic and well made,

damn id love to hear this track out =^,^= Another of my favourites is El Audio

which has a wicked breakbeat half way and spellbinding FX galore, my kind of

tune!!!! and what's next?? an exclusive Quixotic track (quirk) well it is a

RTTS album...very squelchy ,acidy and chaotic...doesnt really stand out much

to me, an acquired taste. Logic Bomb with another exclusive track, lovely

trancy voice samples ..there tracks always develop like stories and this is no

exception, weirdly melodic and quite chilled out i guess, not bad at all..and

now the bad news from the album, i really didn't like Jikooha`s track with

total overuse of that damn guitar sample that sounds so cheesy!..its a shame

really coz the tracks well made in every other sense...all in all another

great outing especially uplifting and banging on many levels...lots of variety

and probably something for everyone somewhere down the line =^,^= respect...i

must say the mixing it top notch 8/10 album 10/10 mixing!
