Going by the reviews on this page, the sets i've seen from Mr. P, and the

general reaction he recieves from the Psy Trance scene... i'd say that

Hallucinogen and Infected Mushroom are going to have some *serious*

competition really really soon....

PS The album, if you haven't figured it out yet, is FUCKING AWESOME.

Congratulations dusty! Am yet to hear this album as it was released after i

left australia for the next year, but to all you psy lovers out there, i can

very strongly recommend that you go out and purchase this album.

Mr. Peculiar has been destroying the dancefloor all over the australian

landscape for the past few years. As the talent in australia is not on a par

with the rest of the world, sure it is out there but the sheer volume of music

coming out of other regions of the world can make australia seem like we are

out of the link, Mr P has had to rescue some parties from the depths and he

has never failed to deliver.

His style is very individual, with great use of effects intertwined with killer

basslines and elements of percussion. But the outstanding element of Mr P's

work is his production - on a par with anything i have heard from all over the

world. He has been working very hard on that aspect and im sure you will be

impressed when you hear the superb sounds coming out of the tribeadelic lair.

Once again...thanks Mr P for delivering what will no doubt be one of the debut

albums of the year, if not ever. Special thanks to Ozzy too for bringing us

this music. With Mr P, Ozzy and Fractal Glider at the forefront of Melbourne

and Australia's psy scene, the future looks extremely bright for australian

psychadelia.

Congrats!

very nice album from mr. peculiar.. very very psychedlic with that amazing acid

feel of power throughout this one... the style is good goa dancefloor stuff...

lots of bubbling noises, and catchy grooves leave no doubt that this one is

for a good cid party.... but even apart from that, this stuff is very good..

especially the last half of the album.. there are some moments here which make

me tingle.... my favorites here are 7 and 9... other stuuf is good too... a

must have,..

1: TRIBES OF RESONANCE... 8.0/10 this track has a nice funky start, with cool

bass + kicks which builds it's pace with cool choppy delays.... around 3 mins.

it builds with a cool groovy melody to about 5:35 where the tracks starts to

take off with some good samples and more melodies.... at 7 mins it works it's

way back down to give you a good overall track to start an album with, nothing

overdone just a cool groovy track.... 2: BOUNCING BRAINS... 7.5/10 this track

starts with some cool samples or sounds that sound like squeaking shoes & and

a basketball bouncing on a court which leads into again nice kicks & squelches

that mr.p rips so well... the track has some cool eiry sounds with nice voice

samples, around 3:30 it kicks in hard with a good melody that climbs in

octaves to reach those infectious tweaks and squeals till around

6:00mins??.where it takes off again with melodies and tweaks?.nice track 3:

RITUAL HORIZON... 7.5/10 this track has a wicked tribally/flutey start which

leads to a dark kick & bassline and once again great voice samples...this is a

nice smooth track where around 4:30 some eiry chants & efx kick in to the

track which takes you on a ride for a dark smooth rolling track.... 4: WHAT IS

REAL?... 8.5/10 you crazy swedes are gonna love this one... excellent intro

with the cool peculiar tweaks....brilliant track for around 4:00am in the

morning when the night is pumping along... has these awesome scary groans

throughout the track that fill the background nicely.... cool floor

stomper.... this is where the album really takes off........ :) 5: DIGITAL

HUMANOID... 8.75/10 this track takes off where what is real? finishes and then

around 2:00mins. it gets spacey & creepy with wicked little tweaks & twists

that you'll love and travels along to around 4:10mins and then..........

wah.......woah.......woah......wah........woah.......... it takes this awesome

morning sunrise feel where it pulsates and gurgles where the pulse width

changes back and forth.......(spine tingling).....brilliant track me like

alot.... 6: DYNAMO? 8.0/10 this ones for all the dark bassy freaks??.ohh

yeahhh awesome outdoor track? this one is backed up with some freaky tweaks

that sort of travel at ya and fade back away that will travel outdoors with

the dark bassline and evil kicks? around 5:00mins.ish it kicks in with a nice

israelish melody with some great twists & grinds on top of that?.. it is

topped off with some weird cool imploding kind of efx that really tops the

track off? 7: SOURCE OF RAH? 9.5/10 (one of my favs?) was dancing to this one

on the weekend at a beach party waste high in the water, kickin and

splashing?awesome fun :) the start has a brilliant mickey mouse sample from

fantasia?mr.p starts it off with some aussie trippy, kookiness, which has some

cool trumpets or sax that play in the kicks where the track gets brilliant at

around 2:00mins? at 4:00mins it really starts to stomp along where it builds

up to 6:16 where the track takes a totally new direction 4 the best part in

the track IMO?.the dancefloor will surely be rockin at this stage?.time to get

crazy everyone?. :) 8: 1000 TABLETS? 9.0/10 (another fav..) once again great

samples with lovely delays on them, backed with awesome kicks and efx to start

off with?.. 3:47mins. Woah yeah, get down and stomp?. 5:40mins. Here we go

again picks up another notch with a great dance floor killer with great efx in

the background?.. you?ll be thanking mr.p for this one? :) 9: LAST CHANCE?

9.0/10 (another fav?) another great start to a track here?with lovely gurgles

and efx?..nice pacey track?. no build ups here straight into it to make your

feet bleed?.. this track is great track to finish the last two stompers with?

around 3:10 these cool creepy crys kick in backed by an awesome kick that mr.p

has carried throughout the album? 3:50mins. a brilliant synth line kicks in

that gets ya rockin?.got some cool spacey sounds that ride you along as well..

:) ok 6:37mins..here ya ?last chance? to have a stomp to this ?debut? album?

hope your knee caps are ok after this one?. 10: CRUNCHY NUTTER? 8.0/10 (cool

grooves and scoobes for this one?.) didn?t know he had it in him?.cool groove

for this finale of a track?lovely groany voice samples that ride with the

chilled tunes and efx?. fades in out nicely?.. can?t wait to hear an album of

this stuff? overall I am very impressed with this album, apart from fractal

glider, Australia has been lacking some talent and awesome tunes for a long

time now and mr.peculiar is well on his way for success and better tracks to

come?.these are a huge leap from charlie?s trip and lessons that you will be

surely impressed?..huge variation in this album and is enjoyable from start to

finish?. Can?t wait to see what his tracks & albums will be like in two or

three years?.i know a lot of people will think I am just being bias as I am

Australian but this is one of the best debut albums I have heard in along time

and very fussy in my tastes in tracks and albums?.do yourself a favour and buy

this album now?.no don?t go back to the forum and see what?s going on, head on

down to the local shop?. ;) Thanks for the inspiration mr.p amd thankyou ozzy

for releasing this homegrown talent?.

the cd sounds ok .. heard it all before, mr peculiars sets never really blow me

away .. charlies trip wasnt a bad track on the liquid cd but even that after

sometime annoyed me. Aussie psy apart from anything psy harmonics does seems

to borrow alot from current or old trends and never really sounds original.

all the music is good , dont get me wrong, but aussie artists dont generally

push psy boundaries. their happy to sit on the fence make similar music with a

slight twist and let others do the boundary moving nnd then they something

different. Mr peculiar beats spacetribe & sugar (what cd on this websites

doesnt shit all over sugar's work?) but no where enjoyable or refreshing as

anything psyharmonics put out. This cd is up there with fractal gliders new cd

... (altho i'd rate fractal as better psy producer cuz his sets r way better n

interesting that peculiars sets) over 6.5/10 not bad, but borrows to much of

artists like infected/gms that ppl r already slowly getting sick of. buy it if

yer happy to stay where you r in psy.

jigga, you may call charlies trip his best track, but i think that is where all

the people who reviewed this album disagree with you.. this album leaves

charlies trip far behind in some indoors location, this album is for the

outdoors and oh my is it psychedelic.... mr. peculiar has blow me away like no

other new artist has in a long time... this guy is very good, somewhat like a

space tribe, but with more intelligently constructed music... the aussies have

stormed back into the scene this year, first it was fractal glider and now mr.

peculiar, this is the kind of trance that people like me like to hear.,,, keep

on those orange flash sounds australia,,, mr. peculiar is a mental eye candy

album, i can only imagine what this would sound like on hoffies...

helps them think more efficiently. nice work mister.

Mr. Pecuiliar is a realy nice refreshment.

Lots of interesting sounds but why the same new school bass lines. I realise

that that is "in" but do you have to be so like the others. The melodies are

kinda nice though. Allround, a good album. Keep up the peculiar work. Best

track no6. 7.5/10
