Review:

A really nice comp from Boom! records... very full on psychedelic tracks. It

starts out with "Rastaliens - Reality ???" wich sounds a bit old school

psy-goa sometimes, very nice. Track 2 "Fractal Glider - Chasing Ganesha" is my

favourite on this comp... starts with a cool sample from simpsons (I actually

seen the episode where the sample is from:)), anyway... very full on

psychedelic-melodic track, absolute filled with energy! Track 3 from Quadra is

one of the better I´ve heard from them, also very psychedelic combined with

some nice guitarr riffs. Track 4 is the worst one... the track would be really

good if there was'nt that ugly melodie... sounds like some lullaby song for

little kids, I don't think it's a good combine at all. Track 5 is a bit better

:) a little more twisted then the other ones. Track 6 from Cosmoon is very

good, hard kicking bassline with some twisted sounds, good production. Track 7

with Logic Bomb is also one of the better ones, sounds very much like the!

ir other stuff, but yet this one is really good, very full on psy-style. Last

track is also really good, it's pretty long and contains a very fast rapid

melodie, wich keeps on building up more and more energy the longer into the

track you reach, very good one and a nice ending to the compilation. As said

this is a very full on psychedelic compilation wich is really worth checking

out, 8/10 from me. Enjoy!!!...and, BooM! :-P

Ah yeah, this BooM compil may draw parallels between golden GoA classics

currently collecting dust and the hyped new stuff that is supposed to be

greatest thing on earth but rarely delivers the mind those trippy twists like

it used to...Yes, this is melodic full-on-stuff but with enough progressive

elements to keep it fresh and, thank God, no cheese in sight. Add the

attraction of the dirtiest kickdrum you will ever hear and voila... a great

compil is born that will especially satisfy the dark melodic lovers among us

that are not afraid of some complexity (Lone Deranger, Gathering, Headware...)

Best marks goto Fractal glider, Quadra, Cosmoon and Logic Bomb but all tracks

have their charm. If you feel, like me, a bit alienated with the somewhat cold

and static state of current psytrance releases, Electric Ohms will definately

guarantee that "No Place Like Home" feeling. Well done, BooM! 9/10

A good, balanced comp from BooM! records. All tracks are melodic but

progressive, and the fresh sound feels really nice. I have to say that i hate

that t-murka track, i just can't stand the melody :) But otherwise, really

nice comp. Favourites: 1, 2, 7. My rating: 7/10.

When I heard this at the music shop I thought it was a old release, since

there's not much music like this anymore... but I'm excited to see it was

released in 2001, which give us Goa-heads some old skool spirit. There's one

lousy track on the comp., but besides that it's supa-psychedelic which I've

missed since the good old Destination Goa releases. 8/10
