This album unfolds another chapter in Jens Paulsen's tale.The walls

of sound he created are incredible.With every album his style becomes

more complex and intelligent.So,"Diorama" can't be defined as a

psychedelic album-because it is a blend of drum'n bass,trip hop,house

and experimental ambient with psychedelic touch.The landscapes in

every track are really beautiful but a bit melancholic.So,listen to

this album and you will feel the frost of the big bad city.I can't

say which tracks are good because they are all very unique and the

sound picture is different.But my favourites are "Drum'n Glass","Out

Of Tunes","Prefade Rmx" and "Q-Faktor".Jens,you're a genius!I'm

unable to think about my life without your music.9.5/10 I'm awaiting

for the next masterpiece!

I had not heard of Patchwork before I bought this album. I bought it entirely

based on the label Spirit Zone and yet again, they do not disappoint.

 

This is definitely more ambient than psychedelic but, its so nice.

 

Btw, Freak51, if you're reading this, please go give your reviews to

everything on this board that you haven't already. You and I appear to have

the same taste in psytrance/psytechno/technotrance. I need to know what else

I should buy.

 

This one gets 8/10.

This is another excellent cross-over chill-out album. Influences here range

far and wide, he even incorporates some cheesy old-euro-trance stuff and

manages to make it greasy-good, like musical fish & chips. It takes several

spins to grok all the details on this record, but because of all the

influences, there's almost guaranteed to be a track on here you can work into

any point in a chill-out/post-everything kind of set. It works well as a

whole album, too, if you're feeling lazy. I still prefer Marsmellow, but in a

few months I may change my mind. 9/10.
