Although generally regarded as the ultimate trash of the psyscene, Holy Men are

certainly not an untalented bunch of melody makers but whereas the ideas in

general are quite satisfying, the substandard eurotrance sauce of Paul van

Dyke synths and play-it-safe hihat/bassdrum programmming does not much to

boost credibility. If Holy men would drop the happy happy shine shine Nizhonot

in the title track and replace it with a more imaginative, psychedelic and

wicked sound, they could have a powerful psytrack a la Bust-a-Move on their

hands. But as it stands they rather remain the disreputable clowns of the

psyscene...A waste of talent and a good laugh for all the wrong

reasons...(4/10)

Bulk of the reviews here are "I fucking hate it" or "I fucking came in my

pants", so I hope I can do some justice and describe some info about the album

as well as reasons why I like it. First of, its fast and its older school

goa. Its got a real good and fast beat and on top of that its got real nice

synths. Its not loaded with stupid vocals ripped from any sci fi movie and

the vocals that are there are properly integrated. It has some real nice

progressive style melodies and at times it really likes to kick it up a notch.

So, if you don't mind listening to something thats fast and has a lot of

melodies in it, check it out! I personally enjoyed it despite the fact that

it has a pinch of commercial cheese in a track or two (and I do mean a micro

pinch)

just take an acid, listen to the album one more time, and...umm, trust me,

you'll experience great uplifting psychedelic happy trance. Pay special

attention to "Yellow" (track 7)....this is goa-tune at it's finest!!! Me

myself (I am the typical morning lsd psy-progressive goa lover) disliked the

color of sound album at the beginning, though now I regard it as a masterpiece

of psychedelic art 8/10

Again, I really this isnt worth so much reviews? There are better albums out

there which have 2/3 reviews. This is just too damn happy and I don't really

consider this psychedelic in any sense. Rainbow and happy children music, but

for those who like it, enjoy!

I just noticed, the start of track 1 is the same as in the track 'Trancewaves'

by Psylent Buddhi!.. Just check it out! You can find the track at Trax In

Space (www.traxinspace.com). Just how low can you go..the guy behind this

album is very stupid.. oh, and I give this crappy album 1/10, don't ever

listen to it.

Holy men sucks god damnit! It was okey In the beginning when I startet to

listen to Goa Trance, but now when I know and experienced a little more of

this music I really realize that Holy men actually sucks! I give this album

2/10 .. by the way! there is one song I like with them; The Last Universe(RMX)

Guest fuck off

It is better than many of the new psychedelic trance that only load their songs

with hundreds of borrowed/stolen samples and have no melody at all. At least

they are trying to do something of their own. To me music is the central

melody and uniqueness
