Dynosomething Review: Greetings from the dark side is send to you by Iboga with this release. Especially "2 The Moon" starts with scary melody shreds on a typical iboga-bassline (when you've listened to some iboga tracks, you should know what i'm talking about) - but very soon great bongos improve the whole thing to a shaking bodymover. In the middle there are some creeping voice samples and even more bongos talking to each other and a subtle hi-hat. You may call it minimalistic (it ain't got melody) but it grooves and moves along through the sewers of your mind @ 136 bpm --- 9/10. Dynosomething has similar creepy and eerie synth-surfaces in the beginning, but starts with a more powerful bass-drum @ 138 bpm. The percussion is kind of agressive and kind of progressive and hits you (a little bit) like whip strokes. After about 3 to 4 minutes there's a break, going over another 3 minutes and building up slowly a percussive layer (extremely thrilling) and when the bass kicks in for another 4 minutes the track has somehow changed to being even more groovy than before, even more forwards.
