lumpi Posted March 26, 2005 Share Posted March 26, 2005 I was just rediscovering this Quadra album called "Digital Stimulant", which I somehow didn´t like at all when I bought it, I actually found it to be pretty cheesy, but now ,5 years later, I have to say this is a proper PSYCHEDELIC trance album. I don´t know, perhaps it´s because I have a better sound setup than 5 years ago. Anyhow "The Witch´s Dance" is a pure joy to listen to, if you close your eyes you can almost see the scenery: A dark and foggy forest by night, the fullmoon shines brightly on a small round clearing, a bunch of witches stomping around a big fire celebrating a demonic ritual dance and every now and then bursting into insane, blood freezing laughter. I think this would make me go really gaga on the dancefloor. OK, perhaps I´m a bit exaggerating here, it´s not really that scary but it comes close. The track name fits damn perfectly imo. What are your thoughts on this one? Can you recommend similar tracks with that particular feeling? I mean not just dark and scary but with that somehow mystical bouncy touch.
